I really love his music. I agree that his Unsung was great. I felt like he was honest and sincere when he basically said he was drawn to the Black culture and music. What really made me enjoy the episode was the fact that he wasn't trying to benefit from Black culture by singing and dancing or acting like the typical stereotypes...he was just sweet and himself. I also like the fact that he married a Black woman.

Some may believe he should be more well known. However, a true natural talent like Jon B is more concerned with making beautiful music; rather than the fame. He'll probaby be performing until the day he dies. He could care less about fame. Some are satisfied just doing what they were born to do ; and are grateful without all the trappings and accolades.

One of the reasons I always respected Jon B. he didn't just use the black culture for gain, dude was serious about it, black women in every video and married a black woman. Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber & Robin Thicke were jokes.

TrueX7 Its not getting any play because it real music! Im a DJ, there are a lot of great songs that never get any play. If they are being vulgar or profane they are on the radio all day. They are trying to kill the romance.
@TrueX710 жыл бұрын
I agree MrGlanderson, It's like Vulgar "RnB" over Romance RnB now.

I remember when the video first came out May 2001 on the phone with my best friend who passed away that same year. I get sad every time I hear this song. I love this song and Jon B. Late 90's early 2000's music was so good!
