There have been so many ads flooding my feed on Pinterest for this brand. I was one of Bobbi Brown's original makeup artists on her team back in the 90s, so it's interesting to see her create this new line. I struggle with wearing makeup because of autoimmune disease, but I'm going to give it a try and see if it sits well with my body. Thanks for trying it!

@@gracejones2831Yeah, it was an exciting time and the launch of my career as a celebrity makeup artist and it helped me secure my agent! When Bobbi's line came out, it was madness! Every store I traveled to with her had lines outside the store waiting for us. Back then all the cosmetic lines were freaking BRIGHT colors. No one was doing the natural look, so Bobbi Brown was such a big deal. I cherish that time in NYC living my dream. ❤️

Me too! I stopped using all acne meds including anything with retinol. I went to cleansing, Thayer’s witch hazel , plain moisturizer. I also started dermaplaning once a week and bought a pack of Japanese skin scrubbers (little pockets of scrubby fabric) and use them 3-4 times a week. Two weeks later I have zero cystic acne or regular pimples that I used to wake up with every morning. I’m 61.

I am using the WTfoundation as a tinted moisturizer under Laura Geller powder foundation. I did not like the miracle balm at all and couldn't find a different way to use it that I liked because I hate cream blush. It was far too sticky. I passed it to my niece who likes it, especially the INTENSE glitter it has (in the shade I ordered). Her brushes are nice, I really like those.

Thanks for this. I wanted to try the balm, but like you, have redness in my fair skin. It was way too pink for anything but blush, which is not how they advertise it. The foundation was too shiny I agree. After menopause there is a fine line between dewy and hot flashes sweaty. I’d like to see just the balm alone in a color that would work overall. I’m trying to find that pearly glow, without looking sweaty or feeling sticky. I hope they let you return for another color.

I am 58 and have been using Jones Road for almost 2 years now. I use the WTF and Miracle Balm but rarely together. Instead I Opt for the other Blushes with the WTF, and use Miracle Balm on its own for those No Makeup days in the more natural glow colors. The pencils are drying. Ive just had no luck with them - even when I moisturize heavily prior. I have recently found the setting powders over WTF to be very nice. The Mascara is great, the pencils and eye shadows are also fantastic. A lot of reviewers dont like the texture and feel of the WTF and the Balms but I find that my skin soaks it all up and I look very natural and moist all day long. If its hot outside, the setting powder makes me not look too shiney. BTW you look really nice in the color you chose for WTF. You may want to try the balms in a more of a glow color and just use flushed on the cheeks, for your no makeup routine.

I used to love the Bobbi Brown line of cosmetics, Lord and Taylor closed where I live and I was not sure where to find the cosmetic line, but have been intrigued with the ads for Jones Road. The name honestly didn't do anything for me but was interested in trying since being a loyal customer of BB. Jones Road also is not sold in my area and was reluctant to order over the internet. I traveled to NYC a month ago and visited the Jones Road Store near Greenwich Village, and am so happy I took the time. As a former buyer for cosmetics, this is it for me, I LOVE THE PRODUCTS. The make up artist started with the WTF (the light scent is AMAZIING) to the center of the face stroking upwards and blending, then the face stick and concealer pencils blending with a smaller brush. She then took the wood part(handle) of the foundation brush and pressed it down at angle, breaking the wax seal of the FLUSHED BALM, taking a small amount the balm adding to the back of the hand blending and softening with the foundation brush, then applying to the apples of the cheeks, and also applying some to the lips. At the very end she broke the seal to the MAGIC HOUR BALM again placing some on the back of the hand softening and adding to the foundation brush again accenting above cheekbones and any where you needed a little kiss of light bronze color. I am 65 years old and have very dry skin due to a hysterectomy at a very young age. It has been a challenge my adult life trying to find a product that truly moisturized my skin. I would use night cream for day! Since using the products, I have been approached and told how beautiful my skin is, friends and coworkers. You may think that I work for JR but honestly I do not. I even took the products to my close friend's home who complimented my skin and did an impromptu demo on her, she is hooked. I wish I could work for JR doing demos, it is so easy to talk about products that you truly believe in!! P.S. Bobbi brought back a collection of miniatures. I believe they come in a set of 4 or 6 or a complete set of all the colors. They sell out from what is advertised. Bobbi, if you see this, how can I work for you remotely. I cant say enough about this product. I also checked the ingredients with an app for clean ingredients and it scored very well. Aveda scored POOR, which i was shocked. Anyway...an old ad from back in the day said "TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT"...…..IN MY CASE, "I TRIED IT AND I LOVED IT"!!!!!! One last thought, I also think that it is a decent price point!
@allthebest7447 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing the way the makeup artist applied the product. Great tips! I am 71 and like it. They tell you to only use a small amount. I use some of the Miracle Balm at night on my face and neck. I am also very happy with the Just a Sec eye shadow. It is a great product, but I think there is a learning curve with it. I used too much when I first tried it and wasn’t happy with it. I went back and read the instructions and watched the commercials. I love it now. The miniatures are a great way to try different colors. She runs that special twice a year and they sell out quickly. Someday, I hope to travel to Boston and have a makeup artist apply my makeup. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

At least I'm only out $10 or so if I hate it. I think it's all the same basic ingredients. I’ve got combo skin and found the foundation too dewy and sticky. It was ok after powdering it down but then wasn’t as ‘non-makeup’ looking as Monique says. It never dries down so it really feels like you’re wearing a thick tinted moisturizer. I’ve found that many tinted sunscreens do a better job of moisturizing, drying down better and providing the extra benefit of sunscreen. There are tons of ads running on all platforms for this makeup and it’s hard to miss. Being in their targeted demographic it’s hard not to be curious but at the end of the day it’s lots of marketing for a ‘meh’ product, IMHO.

I use the miracle balm in bronze every day and love it. I use WTF when I want a more natural look but mostly use mizon bb cream with miracle balm over top. I was finding the bb cream too dry and actively sought out something more dewy. The miracle balm over the wtf or bb cream works really well for me. Not at all sticky. It absorbs fast and is just a nice bronzer that is easy to apply and moisturizing. wtf has almost no coverage so concealer of some kind is necessary for spots or redness. The bb cream is a little better for me because of that issue. i've started to really love the miracle balm though.

Jones Road was specifically created for the no make up make up crowd- those who want a little bit of something something but not full coverage. I am 62, use the WTF in Porcelain, the Neutralizer Pencil in Peachy Pink for my dark circles, the Face Pencil in #6 for around my nasal folds and marionette lines, top of my upper lip and just under my lower lip, the Tinted Face Powder in Untinted that I use just where I placed the Neutralizer and Face Pencil and also on my lids before I add shadow and liner. I use the Cheek and Lip Stick during work days and the Miracle Balm in Au Naturale, Dusty Rose and Tawny with the pencils on my days off- though I am leaning to the Miracle Balms more and more. The one thing about the sticky or shine: powder your face and that will bring it down yet stop the MB stops the powder from settling in fine lines. I just wanted to even out my skin tone and enhance my features without going full make up mode and JRB does that for me. You either love it or hate it, I love the dewy look and my skin loves it all, just experiment for several weeks before tossing in the towel on JRB.

Ive been tempted but ive resisted. I have dry skin but i dont like that shiny (greasy) look at my age. At 60 it looks like you used your teenage granddaughters make up or you're having a hot flash and need to go fix your make up. I want to like it because some if the colors are beautiful. But every time i see someone wearing it, and that finish, i remember why i havent sprung for it. Just not my cup of tea

I think our generation thinks the popular shiny look equates with oily. I don't like glossy and am not too fond of matte, either. I've been loving tinted SPFs and Typology.

Minique you are quite lovely but this did nothing for you it made your skin look quite full of pores which you do not have. Try the Loreal BB Ceam. I use it and my sking breathes I put it on with a little pink beauty sponge I got from ELF.

I think the colors look great on you, but it still looks way too shiny. I also wish you would apply the blush closer in to the front of your face rather than on the sides of your face so you have a flushed look.

I change all the time! Right now I am using Musely estradiol cream and Obagi Hydrate which my skin is loving!

The camera is really out of focus. It doesn't give a good representation. You're supposed to warm it up between your fingers before patting it on

Yeah! I don’t know what the heck my camera is doing! Thanks for the tip!
