Octopus (Full Film) | A 24 hour Chamonix splitboarding adventure

Jones Pro Team rider Julien ‘Pica’ Herry finds a unique Chamonix adventure in Octopus, a film that follows Pica and friends (Laurent Bibollet, Nick Russell and Manu Gross) as they climb and ride eight couloirs in a single push.
With a passion for linking up terrain in creative ways, the crew goes dawn-to-dark on the Aiguille de la Glière, riding all the lines that flow off the striking peak like the eight tentacles of an octopus.

We used the splitboards because we didn’t know how firm (or soft) the snow would be in some places! We hesitated a lot but thought we would be more versatile with splitboards… Didn’t skin much in the end 🤷🏽‍♂️

This is really nicely shot with some serious climbing, but it's sort of boring somehow. It's like a lot of Netflix content, it looks so good and the script is snappy, so it's not immediately obvious the story and characters aren't very interesting. "We went snowboarding, it's just sliding on snow, but it's also more, it's emotion, it's life" Such inspire, much profound. Music and voice over are also a little plastic or something.
