Vintage Garden Tractor Update! Three point hitch installed!

Here's an update to my 1978 John Deere 316. I ordered and installed the three point hitch kit that I mentioned in my previous video. I went with the cheaper kit on Amazon versus the kit from Reugg. Did I make a mistake by trying to save $100? I'll let you decide!

Hey man im litterly looking at ordering this kit and you prepared me for what might happen i looked at the other one and did some research it seems like the name brand kit had the same problem and looking at it its the same exact

@@tysonstein5745 look up John Deere 316 three point hitch on Amazon. For the '78 316s, it'll be the one for the closed frame that also fits 140s, 300s, and 317s

What rear tires are those, and how do you like them?

They're the factory rear tires off of a Polaris Sportsman. I'm very impressed by them. They're a low pressure tire so they offer a lot of flotation over the ground.

Thank you! I'm really split on what I want to do about that. Part of me would love a machine that looks brand new but the other part of me really likes the unique wear pattern of 45 years of use. I haven't come up with a definitive answer yet.
