This is her song and never released on an album. It's outstanding, just like her.

I have been a fan since buying her first album as a teenager when it first came out, and I'm 70 now! the joy of hearing a Joni song for the first time! She is the voice of her generation and such a huge talent, great!

I could have written this comment myself, including my age! Never heard this song and I think I have every album.

Some people just have an oversaturation of talent, and Joni is one of them. I am so thankful for her and her music - it literally changed my life. There’s something extra magical about her early songs like this one, as well as her entire first album. I especially love the Celtic flavor of this song.

It's hard to believe that a song this lovely could be left behind this long. I'm surprised Judy Collins never covered it.

A new Joni gem! Thank you! She is such an inspiration! She started wearing green successfully LONG ago! This is when she was wheat-colored hair and insanely beautiful cheeks and teeth. But, the way she sings and plays to the camera is masterful the first time she tries.

Joni is so good at conveying a story/or message in such a beautiful way! Makes you think! "Come to the sunshine. Share in the quiet knowing. No need for telling you sometimes. When all the answers are so plainly showing!"

Seeing and hearing this so long after I first heard her in the late 60's almost made me cry! This takes nostalgia to a new level!

Lovely, lovely vocal range. Beautiful folk voice with that soaring crystal clear soprano - a voice I have always been in awe of as I am of Joan Baez & Judy Collins. Joni's voice totally changed later on. Love this song! Was it ever released on an album?

Very beautiful lyrics, and I especially love the guitar on this. When I listen to other recordings (two other live ones, here on KZbin), she makes the guitar sound (to me) like east Indian ragas.

What a beautiful song. Is this one on any album? What year is this video from and what year did she sing this song? She appears to be in her early to mid-20's. Love her hair!

Joni was from Saskatchewan Province, Canada and this is where this was filmed, it is the northern Great Plains, called Prairie in Canada (meaning grasslands) it is very agricultural in the southern half and wheat is the main crop, Canada is a major world exporter of grain. This must be from a CBC-TV French Network (based in Quebec) program, although many early explorers of the Western Regions were French (even naming the Grand Teton Mountain Range in Wyoming State USA) few people speak French there at present.
