She's such an individual and able to tolerate and accept her own uniqueness which anchors and gives her the strength to follow the voice of her inner muse despite the blowback that she describes here when she has changed over the years. She describes it well when talking about Carlos' early death.

You can tell she immediately felt bad for dismissing his question with 'Let's not play whodunit with my songs'

The camera man is pathetic. Great interview.

That camera man should be replaced with a stationary camera set

Agreed. Ludicrous camera work. Wouldn't have been appropriate even then.

I love you Joni. Eliminate that cigarette habit Ms. Mitchell, it's nothing but trouble.

She did quit - she used knitting to help keep her hands busy.

Camera focuses on her cigarette several times. Is that really necessary? The gallery setting is terrible, in particular the horrible camera work -- zooming, wild panning, constantly moving. Here is a helpful hint: either learn how to hold a camera or stop using cocaine so you can stand still long enough to frame a shot properly.

Was feminism a different thing (bad) back then?.. Why did she say she's not a feminist?
@tubeyou891193 жыл бұрын
The feminists she had met all man-haters, so she doesn't want to be part of that. This is from another interview she gave.
@clearfield20092 жыл бұрын
Joni keeps insisting (in many interviews) that she is not a "feminist." She is the very definition: a woman who has agency, is strong, is an actor on the stage of life. She is mad feminist.
