The biggest crime against humanity: we never got a Cartoon Network Scene It?. We got a Scene It? for Nickelodeon and a Scene It? for Disney Channel, but not one for CN. A Cartoon Network edition of Scene It? in 2006 (the same year as the Nickelodeon edition’s release), which was during the era of their iconic CN City branding, would have gone HARD.

Out of all the Scene It? analyses I’ve seen, yours was the best. You went in depth on every aspect of the franchise without coming off as a Scott the Woz wannabe. I kinda wanted to make my own video about my experience growing up with these games (I collected so many and later sold almost all of them; now I own 2), but I guess I can’t do that now lol I would like to point out some information that wasn’t covered in the video. Screenlife’s website had playable Scene It? demos at one point, which are now also lost media (or at the very least, inaccessible). And Imagination Games has been around long before they found Gamestar, making DVD games (mostly based on game shows) in the mid-2000s. This was quite the watch, and I’m glad KZbin’s recommendations helped me for once.

This video reminded me of my irrational fear of DVD menu "games". Something about how direct it feels, like the DVD is actually taking over your screen. Even leaving it idle is enough to creep me out. As the DVD menu loops or loads anything new, that brief pause feels like something could randomly pop up like a jumpscare. I blame the Harry Potter DVD menu game, which has an explorable Hogwarts interactive menu. One of the rooms is the library, and if you pick the wrong book, you would get the screamer. Since then, having anything load on a DVD that wasn't just the movie always made me anxious

It plays more so the same as scene it but with some changes like the flextime game board replaced with a much smaller board and final cut or final act as it is called in this game being 5 sections instead of 3. It also does the DVD part with streaming instead of with a DVD or Blu-Ray and as such suffers from manny of the same issues as movie scene it (2022)
