This movie was just 2 hours of nothing happening. Seriously, what was even the point? The movie's intro and background details makes it seem like it's going to explore the split between Joker and Arthur in a more meaningful way. But it never does that. 'Joker' only comes out for eleborate, overly long musical numbers and fantasy sequences that, unlike the first movie, don't add anything to Arthur's character. The movie only got interesting near the end. Arthur seemingly giving up his Joker side, knowing full well he'll lose Harley AND his life? That's legitimately interesting, and I wanted to see how and why he reached how his fractured mind that conclusion so badly. But then he gets broken out of the courthouse. His supporters help him escape, but he flees from them as well. He goes back to (Har)Lee, but she rejects him too. And then he gets arrested again and stabbed by a guy who becomes a second Joker. What was even the point of the movie? What was the message?

Its most likely that the guy who murdered Arthur was the joker because the movie already has batman and two face, and that would mean batman would have to somehow fight the joker in the future, that would mean Arthur was never the joker, simply because he never wanted to be and also because arthur in the first movie was probably around 35 years old, and thats even before bruce grew up to become batman this is just speculation, but I dont think arthur was meant to be the joker that fights batman, he was just too different than the joker from the comics, sure you could say hes different because its a whole nother universe and not meant to be exactly accurate to the comics, but even the core personality is different from the actual Joker, Joker likes to kill people for the sake of terrorizing as much chaos as possible, he likes to test batman and his sanity, but I feel like Arthur isn't like that, he wasnt a total psychopath like the actual Joker. After the movie Harley would probably move on to partner with the actual Joker
