Killer tone here JL. you're rigor don't see many folks in the Helix community using the Vermin (based off the ProCo RAT pedal, used alot by David Gilmour). Keep up the great work. Keep updating the oldies but goodies. Thanks

The Vermin was actually found to be a faulty pedal, that’s why Line 6 modelled another Rat for the Ratatouille. They left the Vermin as a legacy pedal as they knew many people liked it, faulty or not.

I’m actually one of the few who does use the Vermin. It’s good in front of a JCM800 style amp with just a hair of extra gain. Well…I think it is. 😂 I never looked at it for the first year of owning the Helix but since then I’ve started widening my choices. Why not? I paid a shitload for all these options. 😏

I’ve done a EVH tone yes , but it’s impossible to sound like Eddie , you can get the basic tones layed out , but his touch and feel are unreal .. at the end of the day “ it ain’t the car it’s the driver “ .
