That opening pattern of chords that descend by a half step is a perfect example of the genius of SD.

Many new chord shapes for me - this will be very helpful in getting them into my ears and hands. Will try playing with the recording once I have the shapes down. Thanks again!

Someones been hangin with Jon Herington! AJA is my desert island album. The Dan is probably the best sounding live band I have ever heard. I love these advanced lessons, especially your steely dan stuff. Are you going to do a video on Jay Graydon's Solo? please do, Great Video .....well done!!!

Excellent lesson. This is a difficult riff to master. Then graden's lead.... Jay did a mind blowing lead. In my opinion Jay's lead made this song interesting to listen to

Thank you so much! I've surprised myself so much. Those 2 chords in the verse seemed impossible at first, but I practiced it every day for a week or so and now it feels great! I just added in the intro chords and it sounds so good! I feel like I've improved as a player while learning this song

Hey I'm lookin for someone that has that second rythem (palm mute) guitar. Your lessons are good but this is the guitar patching behind they keys. Great video but I'm looking for detailed guitar parts.... any suggestions on where I can find those parts? BTW I just want to thank you... I have learned a tune or two with your help. It's so hard to find good tutorials.

If you'll come to the realization that most people don't care about all the music theory you run about with every chord, you'll probably start to grow your little youtube channel here. I could teach this song in half the time with much more clarity and yes I understand music theory too. BTW, you run on about all this theory and the different chord possibilties and your version of The Witchata Lineman uses a bunch of uncolorful pedestrian chords with an annoying little finger playing the melody with a bunch of high notes that keep smacking you in the face...
