One of the hardest solos to play I've been told, amazingly it was played by a session guitarist! I'm a drummer, what do I know!
@bandanaboy64 Жыл бұрын
Easily, this is the best tutorial of this solo on KZbin. A bunch of others have straight up wrong notes, and not only do you nail every pitch, but your feel and finesse are second to none. Excellent attention to detail. You have big ears, my friend!

Thank you so much man, I appreciate it! I'm gonna try to get back into making more lessons in the near future!

Jay Graydon the player himself has a tutorial on how he played it as well.
@bandanaboy64 Жыл бұрын
@@DavidHobbs I’ve the seen video Tim Pierce did on this solo, where Jay breaks it down and explains how he achieved the tone. Really special that a video like that was even made!

Thanks for the tutorial, and big thanks to Jay Gradon for cooking it up in real time.

A great lesson true! But the best? How about from the man himself: Jay Graydon: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZnTaWuMaLagbtk

@@JohnWilliamsFromBluff True. You can’t do better than a lesson from Jay himself, but I learned to play the solo from your video. Cheers, Max

Outstanding! Excellent explanation and technique for bending. 9's make it easy to bend, but I tend to dig in a bit too much, my chords bend and sound sickly. I love 10's, I'll have to try this. Really appreciate your pointers. It took me me 45 years to finally sit down and learn the Solo to "Kid Charlemagne", now I'll sit down and learn this Solo. Thanks for the great lesson!

Awesome! This solo and Get Back Jack are two of the most unrock and roll solos ever- super sophisticated.

"Get Back Jack"? Perhaps you mean "Do it again"? If so, I agree! Denny Dias is so cool.

If you watch Jay break down his own solo. He says he starts with a "pre-bend" at the sixth and seventh frets. That's the only thing you might have missed. Great tutorial though!
