After watching Hi Ren and a lot of reactions over the past 18 months I've come to realise that besides it being an incredible piece of art it is a starter of very interesting and needed conversations.

Great reaction gentleman. Ren said that when he's going to record a new song and vid he will practise the musical/ lyrics over and over every spare minute he can till it becomes 2nd nature and then he can devote himself to the video without having to remember what are very often with him ,very complex songs. As you said, it's all about prep.

His treatment in Calgary, Canada was not stem cell. He had that in Los Angeles in 2016. His treatment in Canada began in Jan, 2023. His time with The Big Push was in between the two. In Calgary he received massive infusions of antibiotics for Lyme's & associated Bartonella bacteria, therapy to retrain his brain & treatment to try to repair/rebuild the myelin sheath that protects the brain. He has also had surgery to repair damaged joints but I'm not sure where that took place. You may know that he recently suffered a setback, a collapse plus the loss of vision & terrible pain in his left eye for several days, due to a recurrance of the Bartonella. He has returned to the clinic in Calgary.

Glad I took time this morning to listen to this. "Even if that is a delusion, it's a fortunate one." Izzy, that is the best statement ever. We know very little with complete certainty. Even the things we believe in our core. The faithful speak as though they understand God. Even though, God said you can't even fathom his reality. It's better to believe you can until you prove yourself wrong than it is to believe you can't and never know the truth.

Post from Sinead O’Connor a after she watched “Hi Ren”: “Holy motherfuckin SHIT! Someone just showed me this at the weekend. What a great discussion. So interesting and so many pertinent ideas raised. Around the 10 minute mark, what you spoke of reminded me of what my mother told me as a child about table manners. Once you are older, you can choose when and where and even if, to use them. However, if you do not know correct table manners, you cannot implement them when a situation requires it. The Jim Carey idea is a revelation. Thank you for mentioning it. Not enough people look at the world that way. I did not when I was younger. My cop out was that I loved art, therefore, if I made a living from it, I might begin to dislike it. Of course that was not going to happen, but I self sabotaged myself into thinking that for many years. It is only in the last couple of years, have I begun to speak of myself as an artist. Now I just need to get confident in marketing that .... Have really enjoyed this. Will you please show Johnny The Tales and then The MG trilogy? Those should make for an hour or 2 of you both bouncing ideas off against each other.

As you pointed out the views, it dawned on me that 'Hi Ren' has become self-actualizing, even self-legitimizing. By easing the deconstruction and internal struggle, we find the peace to create authentically, where our uniqueness holds true value. 'Hi Ren' now stands as a testament to the worth we place on individuality and authenticity. -I enjoyed the conversation with the added perspectives from your friend. Thanks to you both.

Such a fascinating discussion. Been a long time since I have come across anyone that mentions the possibility we (being spirit, soul, whatever energetic force that makes us who we are) might have chosen the stories we were born into. I like that idea. I don't know if it is any more true or accurate than any other explanation, but I don't find it any less plausible. I also find it empowering when there are so many things beyond our control. We are still the authors/creators of our own stories deciding many of the details about who and what to include to what extent as we go. The philosophical artists. 👏

I just saw your Hi Ren reaction, and put this journal entry of Ren's as my comment to that reaction. ~~~~~~jAN 01, 202~~rEN~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Up until I was 9 years old, I would intermittently hear a voice in my head that was not my own. The voice was distinctly different to mine, and always negative. It would self criticize or urge me to do things I knew to be morally wrong. The most peculiar thing about the voice was that it took no effort on my behalf to produce. My own thoughts always felt like there was a process that required effort to bring them to the forefront of my mind, this voice appeared as though it was spoken by another. The sentences felt predetermined like they had already been constructed. I remember very vividly at 9 years old, becoming very frustrated with the voice. I stood in my back yard, internally screaming at the voice to be silent again and again, and it did. In a flash there was silence, to the point where my head felt like an empty room. I wasn't used to the quiet and that voice never returned. It almost felt lonely in my head. When I got older I had intermittent bouts with auditory hallucinations where I would hear perfect symphonies, usually at night when drifting off to sleep. They were so clear that they sounded like they were emanating from a radio in the corner of my room. I knew they weren't there, but for some reason they never came with the feeling of fear. I also recall sitting on a bus at the age of 15, and hearing the sound of a crowded room, with about 100 voices chattering away, I was the only person apart from the driver on the bus. These experiences were always very brief, and few and far between. My last hallucination was during an intense bout of psychosis in 2015, and was my first visual hallucination. I was walking down a pavement after jumping out my mums car in a crossroads in a moment of frustration and distress with my condition. I was trying to run from myself. What appeared to be a homeless man with a dark complexion approached me, and asked me what was wrong. I explained that I had been sick most my life, and I wasn't sure I had the strength to continue. He looked at me, and smiled and told me 'everything is going to be okay in the end Ren.' I had not told him my name. There was something so overpoweringly sincere about this very simple message, which brought with it an overwhelming feeling of inner peace, and in a flash, he vanished. My rational brain always linked these experiences to what the doctors have told me, that there are parts of my brain compromised by the autoimmunity in my body. That the myelin sheaths surrounding the complex electrical system that conduct my thoughts were damaged and compromised, causing these lucid experiences that I knew did not exist inside the physical world. The part of me that edges away from logical and rational thought always attributed these thoughts to some kind of otherworldly intervention, that made my thoughts the battleground of some spiritual tug of war. For a long time I never really acknowledged this part of myself, for with it brought the danger and stigma of sounding like a crazy person. I decided with my latest release, to the best of my ability, to capture and express this chess match of thought. Hi Ren comes out in just over 24 hours. I can't wait for you all to hear it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~MY WORDS."I just saw your Hi Ren reaction, and put this journal entry of Ren's as my comment to that reaction."...ALL REN....FROM THIS POINT ON...jAN 01, 2024~~rEN~~~~~~~As an artist who also struggles w/my health I think that Ren's

Good conversation, Izzy. Sorry to say that Ren is back in Canada undergoing intense antibiotic treatments again, after his autoimmune condition has flared up again. Sad, because he was so happy to be back in Britain over the summer. But as a result, in part, of one stress after another, it took its toll. He is not repeating stem cell transplant, though, just the IV antibiotics. He was about to release a whole series of songs leading up to the release of his next album, but that is on indefinite hold.

Always disappointed when someone is introducing others to REN, then spoiling the impact of seeing the art pause free as intended. Especially when it is an artist who wouldn't like long breaks in the middle of a song they worked so hard to create. Just saying
@hollyryalsgrubb127319 күн бұрын
There are different approaches to sharing a music video. Everyone will watch it uninterrupted multiple times later and more will be discovered every time. Ren is very supportive of reactors. Reactors pause and react. That's how youtube copyright and reactions works.
@zoe_blackmore13 күн бұрын
@@hollyryalsgrubb1273 it would be better if the guest was told they had control of the pause button and be encouraged to comment when they are ready. Ren is indeed highly supportive of reactors as an independent artist, the is no mega record company law department that is going to slap copyright infringements on genuine positive Ren reactors. This reaction lost me because of the huge break in the middle of the song, longer discussions are best placed at the end.
