I find you to be very intriguing in the few reactions of yours i have watched so far. Definitely plan on checking out more. I found you through following reactions to Ren which has been an unusual journey back into more updated music after limiting my exposure as it seemed increasingly difficult to find and access music that stirs emotions within me not resulting in pounding headaches. Hoping this trend toward more soulful music continues.

I'm late getting here and most of your musings have been addressed already. The sword is a replica from Lord of the Rings, but just happened to be an available prop. When Ren became financially secure last year, he was very proud and relieved about no longer needing to fund raise for his health care. As we all know, he doesn't believe in accumulating more than you need. He made remarks recently indicating he's working on some sort of project to help provide health care to chronically ill people. Gave no details. Next week there will be a video (?) release that seems to be the start of an "immersive experience" related to his new clothing line.

Because REN mentions Damocles I think it’s the sword of Damocles that he’s holding. Without going into the specifics it is the idea of wealth and power being the ultimate position ( held by Dionysus) but when Damocles wishes for “ the grass that appears to be greener) he is given it and switches places with Dionysus- HOWEVER ABOVE HIS HEAD IS A SWORD THAT HANGS BY A THREAD - because with that wealth and with that power comes enemies and you will always be looking up and around because at any moment that thread can be cut. For REN I think that it applies to his health, which is chronic and ongoing and fragile enough to be thrown off by things that “ the ordinary “ would be able to bounce back from. He lives with the sword- sometimes he wields it while at other times it dangles by a thread above him. *** The logo is named Johnson. SLAUGHTERHOUSE is the album ***

As always, it’s cinematic and brilliant. The lyrics are very personal but also intelligent and poetic in that there’s a lot of mythological references woven into his personal storytelling . Underworld = Regions with Elysian being the highest one relegated to the heroes, Tartarus being relegated to the deepest level where the wicked are tortured. He was also a god ( child of Chaos and brother of Gaia - foundation and primordial goddess of all earthly things). Gaia also went to the depths of the underworld and convinced Tartarus to have a child with her. ** Honestly there is nothing more fucked up that the ancients and their mythology ( Greek, Roman …Biblical etc).

Love love your takes on REN’s genius. The world doesn’t yet know the messages REN has for mankind. His music is straight from his soul. Untainted by the evils of the music industry. He speaks truths, he speaks meaningful thoughts that most musicians dare not talk about. He will one day, be studied and recognized for his deep communication and messages for mankind. So much fun to part of this rare journey into a revolutionary artist.

Everything Taylor is not Beatlesque. You often refer her to the Beatles. Sorry, as a Beatles fan, no way did the Beatles ever come close to Taylor’s lyricism.

Greek words elysium=heaven Gaia=earth Tartaros=hell All completly production by Ren. The entire album will be all his production. Kit is an artist he met inCanada. He did 3 songs with her on this album. The video where he crashed he didnt finish. It was a new Tale calked Starry Night. This one he got stabbed in the eye and now the autoimmunity opened up the eye again when he crashed Ren has very low body fat. Because of his illness and limited diet. He is very fit .exercise keeps inflamation down. In livestream he broke down when tellng us he probably will not be able o tour. His health is too vulnerble to stress. He had a really tough couple months as his body crashed. He is not afraid of death but is very afraid if living the rest of hus life un pain and illness. His ptsd kicked in thinking he would fall all the way back. He said he pays 5-6 thousand a month for medicarions alone! His one medication antibiotuc for Bartonella is 950 a month. Most people just have o go without . He was very troubled about it fir the sake if others.

So, Taylor’s music is Ordinary American?? And Ordinary British would be The Beatles!!! Is that how this works?? This song is poetic lyricism and they went right over your head. Please don’t sling mud without expecting it to come back. Just came across you watching All Too Well, the short film. Hope you got some insight. I can’t bring myself to watch your reaction.

You wouldnt last an hour in the asylum where they raised me" That hits hard. I was a second generation in the biz kid. Successful enough to have a house and pretty decent life in Southern California & Europe. I worked all kinds of jobs both in front and behind the camera before finding my bliss in having a restaurant. I worked my way from being in movies and TV to finally getting a stable restaurant gig! Just like I worked my way down from my first intoxicant (coke) down to white wine. Its a brutal life that requires so much compartmentalizarion and focus. Which is a balanced skill for an adult and a trully abusive way to raise a healthy child. When I was 11 I was testifying in court called by the defense because out of 12 kids available to this one director, I was one of the 2 or 3 he didn't molest. And this was in the 70s so it was not like they brought these charges lightly. My survivor guilt, as well as wondering why I wasnt "good enough to abuse" was real. Fortunately, certain grooming at that particular time wasnt effective & I told my parents right away. So was the eating disorder. I started dieting at 8. My parents didnt particularly want that life for me but also said, if you want it well help you in the ways we can. So I avoided some pitfalls but its a biz made of pitfalls. The work its self is great. Telling great stories, entertaining. But the business is crushing madness.

Yes Kit is Canadian. It's all Ren musically apart from her . He also said he is producing and mastering this Album himself . It was the Starry Night video I think he said that he couldn't finish because of the autoimunity emergency . I was on the stream which was very interesting, funny, profound and Ren. He has been concentrating on therapeutic treatments since returning from Canada It took me several listens to fall into this one! Glad I did though. Love to hear your thoughts on this track

Speaking of the Rolling Stones, for this 1989 Tour, she had Mick Jagger stop by and sing with her "Satisfaction". She had MANY artists come out and either walk out on stage and say hi to the audience and dance or they sang together a popular song of theirs on her tour. It was sick. From Ricky Martin to Selena Gomez to Idina Menzel. Everyone came to this tour. And I love that about her. That she can jump different genres so easily while still being true to who she is. And she looks jaw-dropping, gorgeous rocking out with that electric guitar. I so want her to delve into heavy rock. I want that rock album lol.

Hey Izzy, great to see you react to this so fast! Kit is the person who did the monologue in Money Ties. She’s a Canadian artist who features on the new album quite a bit apparently. This video was shot there in May I think Ren said. Ren did all the beats and everything else himself…🫶🏻

Nice to see you react to this Izzy! FYI Ren did a nearly 4 hour long twitch stream tonight after the premier, and he was in good form! Discussing such diverse topics as capitalism, Greek mythology, religion, while singing Sinatra songs and all with a bright blue tongue. Delightfully random and deep... reassuringly Ren ❤ Edit - he talked a lot about the song and video in the stream too, answered loads of questions we all had about it. The plastic wrap bit reminds me of Demolition Man too (which of course is based on Brave New World, a book Ren has talked about)... but he said he just wanted to wrap himself up like that because he saw something which made him think it looked like fun lol... He also talked about a LOT of the things you talk about here, he said the stream will be uploaded - give it a watch, it's enlightening!

An example of her cleverness and comedic timing, check out "Monologue Song" from her hosting SNL. It was the only time the writers and Lorne Michaels saw and allowed a guest host to walk in with a fully formed bit and just go live with it.

First, his is an epic performance by Taylor as always. I just wanted to mention that her eyes are so blue in this because they over-saturated the blue and red as this performance was part of the 1989 World Tour DVD (also on Apple music) that was in 3D. All the best. Have a Swift day.

This version is the best. This song was my immediate favorite off Midnights, and Lana's voice changes it just enough to hit different.
