It really is too bad how many people miss this fight, between the awesome fight itself, the story, and of course, the music, it's probably my favorite boss in the base game other than Margit. This cover was fantastic as usual.

It's just such a shame is such an easy fight by the time you get to it. All paths that let you get to Fortissax require going through zones that have higher level-scaled enemy and boss encounters, meaning once you get tot Fortissax, there's a high likelihood that you'll be over-levelled for the fight. You have to consciously handicap yourself in the lead-up to the fight if you want it to be fair; otherwise, you'll likely just stomp him with very little effort.

Context for this specifically, a long time ago, during a war between the major faith and dragons, a demigod named godwyn befriended a dragon named fortisaxx, ending the war. Later on, godwyn would be killed, but only in soul. Godwyn's body lived on, a living corpse whose curse of undeath would spread to the remains of others, which the main religion despised, leading to them trying to purge these undead, anointed "Those who live in death". Eventually, a small group lead by a lady named fia wished to bring these undead into the main religion, so as to free them from their torment. To do this involved making godwyn the new patron god of the religion. Unfortunately, ever since godwyn died, Fortisaxx had been protecting his remains fighting against the curse that claimed him, despite the damage it would do to their own body. So, in assisting the group, the player fights this dragon within a dream realm, what you see in the video.

The song, despite being orchestral, translated into guitar perfectly, and the vocal chanting also enhanced this one so well! The little solo in the middle was great, but dude, that solo at the end?!
