Good news! The pillow police aren't coming to get you. Those tags are only illegal to remove if you are selling or reselling the object. The furniture is AWESOME! My longhaired mini doxies would love it.

This was amazing. And, they look beautiful ... Fantastic job. However, I immediately thought the seating was too low .... Just a few inches too low. I don't want to be that person who is critical of something that beautiful but we have chairs and a sofa that are that low and they are comfortable but getting out of them is not easy. A few inches in height makes a huge difference. Food for thought.

Why is it illegal to cut off the tags on the pillows?
@Industryvids Жыл бұрын
The tags are illegal to cut off if you are selling or reselling the pillow or mattress so you are safe just to resell the pillows.
@ariadnalucila2 жыл бұрын
Amazing build!!! I love this set. A question, why is it illegal there to cut off the tags on pillows and mattresses??
@spoinlar2 жыл бұрын
It’s illegal for a reseller to cut the tags off. As a buyer, you can remove them with no problems, provided you don’t plan to return the item. There’s a restriction on removing them because they have to list what materials they’re made of (filler, etc.).
@fornever2 жыл бұрын
This stems from bedbug & lice outbreaks in the early 20th century that were being caused by retailers selling used infected mattresses & bedding. Actually, leaving the tags on after use would allow used items to be sold as new & is illegal, they're supposed to be removed by purchaser. It even says this on the tags but most people have never read them.
@steelshepherd68432 жыл бұрын
The tag only applies to people who make and sell mattresses, etc. It should say "except by consumer"

I love solid cedar built exterior projects! They are the best and stunning every time! Question about this “made by me” app or whatever, I got a link from Shara’s channel and I decided to try it out. They have an iPhone app but I couldn’t get it to give me options of lumber or anything like I see on your channel and hers. Is this only a laptop type or can an iPad or iPhone work? I was so bummed about it, it wasn’t very easy to figure out and I think that’s because I couldn’t get lumber options and it just made it impossible for me to use. Obviously I’m not tech savvy but I can learn but I don’t know this thing wouldn’t give me options. Instead it seemed like it wanted me to open projects they already had and then modify but again even trying that it didn’t offer many options at all

Why is it ilegal to cut off the tags
@vernrhoads19742 жыл бұрын
The notification that the removal of mattress tags is punishable by law is not directed at everyone. In actuality, it's just for the mattress manufacturers. Consumers, on the other hand, can safely remove these tags after purchase if they so choose - without any fear of consequence. Just an FYI
@JonnyBuilds2 жыл бұрын
I bet you jaywalk too.
@fornever2 жыл бұрын
It's illegal to cut those tags only if you're the manufacturer, courier or retail seller. In fact, the tags are supposed to be removed by the purchaser to represent that they are no longer new. This stems from bedbug & lice outbreaks that were being caused by retailers reselling used mattresses & bedding. Leaving the tags on would allow used items to be sold as new.
@karlcattegut81002 жыл бұрын
I know it was a joke but cutting off those tags from pillows is actually not illegal for you. It is however illegal for manufactorers and retailers and resellers to remove them, as they contain potentially important information for the consumer

Always nice that you show the mistakes cause often with these build channels make you think builders never make mistakes. Results are great, looks fantastic, and the "garden" too
