Said it on the last video. I think Fred Warner has always been a top ten linebacker. And this year he's making his argument for best in the league. He's not gonna get that kind of respect from the media though. He'll be a pro bowler and possibly an all pro but they're not gonna give him DPOY. Not a chance.

Honestly I would make an argument of him being a candidate for DPOY. But it’s hard to compete with guys who always play at the LoS like AD and TJ Watt because they are going to get all the flashy stats like sacks, pressures, TFL etc. Fred is all over the field, sometimes he reminds me of a SS. He doesn’t have all those flashy stats but he is tremendously disruptive and his play reading skills are amazing. He is definitely one of the reasons the 49ers kept a respectable record given they are basically a hospital.

Warner will become the best Middle LB in 49ers history. Take it to the bank. Willis and Bowman are tackling machines but, Warner just plays faster. If Aaron Rodgers tell you, "you're an all pro," you're an all pro. Aaron Rodgers doesn't say that a lot.

johnny, you gotta highlight or mark the player in question EVERY TIME. i watch a play and i THINK i kno which one is Fred but then i have to watch three times trying to figure out if i am right. i am no ace, but no dummy either. dont go talking about some player and then not explicitly identify him at the top of the play. your analysis is off. you compare unlike things. Arizona runs a 5-2 SF runs a static 4-3. Sanders runs an arrow route to the flat and the wide out has all the space to run the deep curl....the strong side linebacker steps up because SF ran the ball really well last year, i.e., stop the run. the weak side LB has the underneath coverage. two completely different down and distances, personnel packages, teams, defenses etc... yes Warner is a stud but your comparing an orange tree to a rose bush.
