You do t have to take the light assembly out to change the bulbs. On the passenger side you can remove the air intake filter box (4 screws and unclamp the hose) and you have complete access. Drivers side requires unbolting the windshield wiper fluid reserve and just pulling it out if the way.

If your hands are not too big, on my 08 Tahoe you can take the two top bolts out of the headlamp and tilt it forward enough to get a hand in there. Try to memorize how you get the connector out because you have to get it back in without being able to see anything. Also, the connectors seem to get degraded by heat, make sure they are connected as tight as can be. My connector was upgraded to the newer style on one side.

This makes me miss my 87 thunderbird. I just had to pop the bulbs out and that was it. Housing was a couple more bolts if I wanted it all out

Dont have to go thru the fender for passenger side , just pop the air cleaner box out and the flap behind the headlight , done !

GM should be ashamed of themselves. I just changed the front market light bulbs on my (new to me) ‘14 Yukon. I’m happy to report the part of replacement bulbs cost me $1 at my local auto parts store. I had to remove a total of 18 or so fasteners between grill and wheel wells. YGBSM

Yes. I guess there's a sort of easier way to do this. A viewer mentioned removing the air box and stuff behind each headlight. Haven't tried that method as I haven't had to work on another again yet.

I just bought a’14 Yukon and found out the the front turn signal bulbs are all (4) out. I’ve never been in a car - late or early model - that did not tell me bulbs were out. UPDATE: I was mistaken - bulbs were simple side markers and not part of front turn signals….. still a bitch to change simple bulbs.

I agree , gmc , shame on u, the 05 Yukon headlight assembly was lift 2 easy vertical lock bars out and headlight assembly popped out

None of these videos show what the other light bulbs are. I'm going to change them all if I have to do all that to get to the back of the headlight body.

Also someone mentioned if you remove air box on passenger side you can get to bulbs and drivers side if you remove winshield washer reservoir you can get to them too. May be easier for you 👍

@2K mine ended up having this like safety plastic piece in the middle I needed to pull out to release the bulb
