Thanks! For this video. I’ve been watching a lot of your videos lately because they’re peaceful but they have a strong message. Hockey is expensive brother. When I was a little kid in the 60s and 70s I went to the same thing bud. I could never invite my friends over because they would fight violently. I became a deputy, sheriff/police officer, and I used what I learned about domestic violence to help people. It took restraint, sometimes when I would be on a call, where a father had beaten his son, or was in the middle of beating his wife. It was at that moment I knew I couldn’t be like my father toward that man. All I can do is stop the violence was pulled him from his family and try and get him help at the same time finding resources to stop the cycle. I remember hundreds of times thinking, “why didn’t someone come to my home“? I know you’ve gotten demonetized many times, so please use this to help and don’t stop doing what you’re doing. We don’t watch this for the content you’re showing us. We watch this because of you. Don’t forget that. Jeff Corbin (Ret.) Homicide Detective. Jeff.

Hi Jeff, thank you soo much, I can't even find the words to thank you enough. What an amazing way to give back and promote positive change doing the job that you did. I admire and respect all law enforcement but you Homicide detectives are definitely a cut above the rest having to deal with what you do. My best friend was murdered and I'll never forget seeing him that was so thank you for all that you have done, I'm sure you brought closure to many families during the hardest time in their lives and for that you should be very proud. Thank you very much again

And God bless for cutting out alcohol. It's how I dealt with a lot of things growing up and I have been sober for 4 years. Women are angels. My wife saved my life.

Fantastic Reaction! Oh yeah i feel it too. We have been through some S***. But we made it out. I joke with my sister and say we were Scared Straight. Terrible but its the Gods truth. If you know you know. Made it out and did better than our parents (in the loosest form of the word possible} did. I have NEVER looked back on my life and wished I had been a Drunk and Drugged. My mother is in the last days of her life and me and my sister have made roads in toward forgiveness and can hopefully have peace. I am Wishing everyone the best thoughts.

Thank you for sharing your story. You're certainly not alone, but the pain is real nonetheless. You seem to have taken the heartache and turned it into a mantra of breaking cycles and being better than your circumstances. You could've easily chosen to take the same path, yet you didn't, so good on you brother. Peace

Sending love, strength and hugs. I hope you can find some peace regarding your parents. I pray that your parents can claim the deep pain, insecurity and fear that they laid upon you and your siblings. I hope you can find some healing and even forgiveness but, that is on your terms. Blessings, karen
