Good morning thank you so much for the reaction:) I am nolans brother and our mom was the drug addict and didn't work dad was our rock he worked 3 jobs to just try to make ends meet thats why he wasn't there a lot just wanted to clear that up a bit thank you so much again

Great video! I've been listening to this song on repeat for a week. I've seen where Nolan himself has offered some explanation on the song, saying that its all directed at his mother who struggled with substance abuse. He said his dad was a great father, but was always working multiple jobs to put money on the table for Nolan and his siblings.

The forst time i heard this song, it had ne in my feelings about some dumb girl in my life.. then i looked him up and found the real reason behind this song and it took o. A whole other deeply personal meaning.

In an interview, he says it's about his drug-addicted Mom. With his Dad they could escape his mother for awhile. But he couldn't financially support them.
