It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book kzbin.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.

I don't have an issue with the so called long video. I do have an issue with the too short ones some others' do during their builds. I feel my intelligence and attention span are in question as there is obviously and usually more instruction or content that could or should be shown. If a person who wants to lean can't sit for 20 or 30 minutes to watch, learn and appreciate what you do, then they don't have the time or patience to be a good woodworker either. And even old dogs like me who've had many years at this can still learn and get to share new and old tricks, so keep up the good work. And sometimes it's nothing more that just a lot of fun watching.

Hey Don't worry about the length of the videos that is the correct way to deliver the right information to the interested viewers, the way you make video they are already small but very informative. I have seen some of the fast edited videos but believe me, it is hard to know all the process and specially person like me who is not a carpenter but I like to do small experiments at home, I do not think some one can take benefit from a fast running video, so carry on your style because these videos are information delivering videos. And let me say that these videos are not only informational or learning videos, this is welfare work as well which is supporting and helping hundreds of the viewer, and you will have mercy of God for this act . God bless you my friend. Any way great bed, gift me one. Lol

This is a very nice looking bed. The only issue I have is it does not break down and move easily. There will be much joy in its use over the short haul but I don't think I would want to pack up and move this very often. You did give me a lot to think about when I decide to make one. Thank you for showing what it took to make this one.

David Harris I'm doing one soon too and I don't mind how he did this. The headboard would come off quick and would the base really be that hard to move? I think I might want to screw some kind of support on the back so it wouldn't flex but that's about the only issue I could think of. Maybe if it was a king size he would have spent more time thinking about that. What would you change? The trim pieces and the base? With those altered I guess you could break it down to basically 3 shelves and a headboard pretty quick.

What I really appreciate about your videos is the detail. It is the moments when you stop and show us the jig you used to make sure the base is the correct distance from the edge that make your videos great. I love the projects, they are always so well thought and turn out so nice, but what I like the most is the master techniques, the hints and tips, the designing of the project, how to correct mistakes, etc. So, I have no problems with your long videos. I watch the to learn. Thinking about it, most of the channels I watch pretty much only produce long videos, but with few exceptions, I watch them for the same reasons.

Nothing wrong with the video length at all. It's nice to see all the " how do's " instead of just watching someone throw something together leaving you wondering how they did it or why they did it a certain way. I am looking forward to the next project video the same way! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!

Yeah, don't stress out about length. You are right, Jon, to keep only what we would like to see or know. You've been doing a great job editing your work. I like them long if they need to be long. If you are taking a survey, I'll always watch your longer version and fast forward if need be. If I do FF, it is because I want to see the end result and then go back and see how you did it. I also like to hear WHY you did it. You give us the why more than other KZbinrs and that is one of your strengths. I like your multi part videos too. Keep it up, Jon!

Jon, I appreciate seeing you wear the dust mask in the shop as I don't see a lot of other KZbin woodworkers doing this. The one thing I don't notice very many people doing though, including you, is wearing some type of hearing protection. I wear mine when using almost any power tool, and if I don't, I really notice just how loud they are. Is this something you just don't think is necessary or just forget to do? Also, I for one like the longer videos. And nice belt.

No problem with the length as far as I'm concerned. I think anyone really interesting in building the bed appreciates the detail. Great job. As for the Thumbs-Downers, I think there must just be one guy out there, with 199 email addresses, who just trolls the internet because . . . well, who knows? Sorry puppies, is all I can say. Well done, Jon! Thanks.

Turned out really nice Jon! Length of videos in my opinion has no bearing on if I will watch them or not. If it is an interesting build, or if I like the person, I will watch no matter what. In your case, you are great, and your projects are really nice, I will watch no matter how long the videos are. I appreciate you making them "as long as they need to be". I think your amount of explanation as you are working is perfect. Thank you for your time in making this video available to us.

Thanks Jon for all your great videos, and I personally like the fact that you show the details in how something is done. It may result in a longer video but I'm learning something the entire time. I do have a question about your reason to use a nice piece of purple heart on the underside of the bed on the inner frame. Will it show once the bed is assembled? or maybe I missed something. Thanks again..

Just out of curiosity, why have the cabinets jut out from under the bed? Won't that make it so your son hits the backs of his legs on them when he goes to sit on the bed? Or bang his knees/shins if he's facing forward?
