Bought my 621 brand new in 1975. Can't kill it. Still runs like a champ and will always start in a pull or two unlike the Huskie that takes 10 or so pulls.

Bought mine in 1980 still have it & still runs great last time I used it. Bought a new husq 372 xp a little lighter for an old guy.

I just got my 621 fixed up. It had issues with the rewind dogs sticking out so they wouldn't catch when starting it. I have a 601 that's locked up so I pulled the flywheel off and swapped it out with the 621. Runs and idles great, just used it to cut up some standing dead elm for the boiler last night. Nice video, is old dogs sure like our old tools!

My old boss had one of these in 1982, I was using a Husky 161se (my first new saw), I reckoned the ‘johnnies’ seemed to run a bit quicker than the husky... great saws.

I wonder if the exhaust screen should not be in the other way. They direct the exhaust towards the chain and have it sucked away from the operator. There is a wind draft following the chain, dragging the exhaust with it forward.

I buy recently an jonsered but i didn`t know if is 621 or 80 ...How can i know that ?

Hey buddy, not 100% sure but if you look at the AV mount at the back of the handle, you can usually tell the difference...use my pictures for reference 😉

@@KainKustomGarage Yesterday i disasambly and measured cylinder bore and it has 45mm and from what i found on web it says it is an 621
