Welcome. I rode a 2008 Busa just like your new one. One thing I was noticing that when you screw that right hand on if you get to 100mph and your front wheel hasn't jumped off the ground. I would say that your fuel injection system isn't working perfectly. You should have been staring at the tank several times when it hit its power band. Even if you get forward on the front end with your weight. You can't stop a Busa from climbing up. It will run right over and flip if you don't let off. I've done everything from really hard street riding to drag racing mine. Unfortunately I lost mine in a very bad accident. I blew a front tire on a corner doing 43 mph in a 45 mph speed zone. Destroyed my Busa and my body when it litterly killed me when it put my body through a 6x16 guardrail post. Luckily the paramedics were just coming down the hill right behind me. The didn't see the accident. But because they were so close. They were able to save my life. I broke everything from my hips up except for my spine and neck. Lost my left lung. I'm still in pain from this. I had to been cut out of the post I went through. They jump started my heart while I was still stuck. The fire truck showed up. They cut me out with a chain saw. I was very lucky. Please check your tires & be careful. Have it checked. I think it's down on power.
@JonsMotoGarage5 жыл бұрын
Dang, sorry to hear about your accident! That sucks! I was never more than like quarter to half throttle on this thing. Otherwise everything ran cherry. It was definitely rider, not bike. Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@ltsgarage77805 жыл бұрын
@@JonsMotoGarage half throttle will still stand that bike up. Do you still have the bike? Where did you purchase it? I'm thinking about another one. But it has to be this 2008 gen2 orange & black. I actually have a complete set of stock exhaust for one. I have taken them. Cut the cans down about a foot shorter. Change the internals. They look stock but people cant figure out what was done to them. If anything. I've also taken the head pipe off. Ct on the catalytic converter part on the top. Pulled it out all together. Then welded it shut. All the model, manufacturing & DOT codes are on the bottom side. So no problems with the law inforcemant about being legal or not. Hey look at it. It's all stock. Lok them up on Google. You'll see they are stock. That's what you say to a cop that wants to give you a ticket for loud pipes. I also had that same Brocks system. Until I kept getting tickets. So I took the stock exhaust and made it better.

There is no power band with these motors! They are consistent all the way up. Geez Charlie.. Don't write crap you have no idea about.
@ltsgarage77805 жыл бұрын
@@cattleNhay just incase you missed this in class. Every gas motor has a power band. "Every motor" I put thousand of miles on my Hayabusa. Not to mention every other bike & auto I've had over the last 50 plus years. The Hayabusa will pull really hard until it reaches around 3500 to 4000 RPM. Then it will literally jump the front end off the ground. If that's not torque curve. Please step to the head of every engine building class and educate us PLEASE! Maybe you know something some of the best engine builders in the world don't?? I personally can hardly wait for my education. 😋
@cattleNhay5 жыл бұрын
@@ltsgarage7780 power band is the term used for 2 strokes like when they "hit the power band"? maybe it's just a terminological misunderstanding. My Engrish is not up to date.. Hayabusa has one of the smoothest, consistent power at any rpm of any motors I ever had. It seemed like you were saying as a 2 stroke, it should hit the power band and start lifting the front wheel...

I don't like the looks at all, but it is probably an amazing ride. I bet it has a similar big bike feel to my zx11 except it has a few more horsepower. I used to dislike the looks of the zx11, but after riding it I fell in love with it.

I'm right there with you. I could never stand the bubbly design. But after riding one, I can see what the hype is all about for sure.

Nice Busa! Where did you get the bike ramp for the truck. What's the brand?
@JonsMotoGarage5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, brotha! The ramp brand is Big Boy Ramps. Black Widow Ramps makes a comparable option as well. Here's a link to a vid I did regarding the ramps/loading if interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5_ZdZ2HhrB5o68 Thanks for watching and commenting! Ride safe!

I am afraid to buy a used sportbike. My first motorcycle had a none functional brake system without some parts with many problems. It was a motorcycle but maintenance was not acceptable. I learned to fix a motorcycle. Now, I have no problem with my motorcycle but I can’t sell it. Perhaps, I don’t have a lot of friends but I have my reputation and this is much more than a motorcycle. My job asks me to be perfectly honest.

Yeah, it's definitely good to do your research/due diligence beforehand. And I've found that if you're up front/transparent when selling, even if there are issues, it never seems to be a problem. If you try to hid it on the other hand, you'll run the risk of tarnishing your rep.

Dude I bought this exact model off of ebay from a guy about 5 states away several years back. Was way more nervous than buying a used one in person.
