Regarding the styling, the fact that it’s not trying to be a Harley is what makes it so cool.

I agree with you I was so tempted to get a harley but wasn't looking forward to the expenses from dealing with harleys. I was told they were complicated and expensive to maintain. I ended up getting a 2017 Kawasaki Vulcan s 650 and I get looks, compliments, nods, fist bumps and the occasional kid asking me to rev. It does help that it came with a wicked exhaust but I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Kawasaki been doing this for ages. Like in the early 80s they had the GPZ 900 superbike and used the same engine in ZL900 Eliminator cruiser. At the end of 80s they made GPZ 500 paralel twin sportbike, and same engine with small mods was used in ER5 naked, EN500 Cruiser and KLE 500 enduro. So its old and proven Kawasaki business tactics they are still rockin 40 years later. FYI I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work.

I bought one last year. I’m on the tall side for it at 6’ 4” but they market this bike with the “Ergo-Fit” program. 3 seats to choose from, 2 different handlebars, and longer shifter rod moving foot pegs and shifter further forward. They can fit someone as short as 5’ 2” to 6’ 2” is the claim. Then there’s me slightly outside those parameters but I’m happy. I got it in a very retro “Stormcloud blue”.

Do it! They keep the same model for 1 to 2 decades. This model is new. You'll have a happy long run and still be able to get parts. You can buy the service manual and it is just great tech! Their dealers aren't like car dealers so if you dont do your own maintenance most likely you'll get good service. If Kawasaki keeps models running for two decades & parts flowing with great engineering I will keep promoting them. If you can't afford super big but want something with decent size then this.

All the pressure is on the tailbone due to the riding position. Two, I wanted more power. All in all though a fantastic bike. It really is a great bike to learn on and one you won’t outgrow right away. I really loved it. I sold my Vulcan over the summer and bought a 790 duke. Ive moved on from mid sized bikes and now ride an M109R but I still love everything about that Vulcan S...except how it looks from the back. Being a basically narrow bike, in addition to its low seat height (both giving confidence to beginners) any rider of average size or more looks like they're riding a mini moto from behind. But a sissy bar seems to change that impression. If I ever do get one as a second bike I'd fit one of those sissy bar and storage rack attachments to give the bike a more balanced rear profile.

I own the 500 cc Vulcan en from 1994. It's got the ninja based engine just like the modern version. Fantastic bike even for 26 years old! Shame there so rare now in the uk as parts are hard to get and mine needs work :(

I have a 2018 Vulcan S and I love it. Never occurred to me to try and wheelie it though. Haha.

I'll never be happy with this channel until I see a victory octane.

First I gotta say I love your channel dude I don't find you annoying like most people asking for subscribers. You and srk cycles are my favorite motorcycle channels. I love my Vulcan s but after getting use to my Honda nc700x I lean too much into my turns and keep scraping. I'm thinking of selling the Vulcan to help me buy a fz09. I'd like your opinion. I've never had a fast sports bike I've had two cruisers before the Honda and now the kawasaki. I think I could handle it because I don't want something too crazy like a litre bike.

Damn that was sick. I've never seen a wheelie on a Vulcan. Have you thought of getting a Honda Magna?

Great motor in that bike great motor in General May not be the highest performing 650 but incredibly reliable and works well in a lot of scenarios
