Patagonia is a region shared between Argentina and Chile. Although there are similarities, there are also significant differences between both sides due to their geography. This video mainly showcases the Argentine side of Patagonia, characterized by vast, empty, and desolate desert landscapes. However, if you cross the Andes Mountains to the Chilean side of Patagonia, the landscape changes completely: it is wetter, greener, and more mountainous due to the influence of the Pacific Ocean. This scenery is very similar to that of New Zealand and includes fjords, cold rainforests, numerous islands, national parks, and greater rich biodiversity. Additionally, its geography is more rugged and difficult to access by land, making many areas reachable only by boat or plane. To me, it’s one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Greetings from Chile!

Anytime someone says, "Oh, you don't like the weather here? Just wait ten minutes, and it will change. The weather is crazy here.", I just yawn because I know that they don't know what changing weather means. This program's host even understated Patagonia's changing weather conditions. The only other places where I've seen changing weather come close to Patagonia are Canada on the Hudson Bay and southern Tasmania, but I haven't been everywhere in the world either. There are probably many places worse than Torres del Paine. What a beautiful place though. Thank you for sharing, Eric.

You’ll never see the most stunning parts of desertic Patagonia because there are no roads to those places. The existing roads are built to cross quickly between the coast and the Andes, avoiding the interior. They follow straight lines across the flattest, most barren terrain-easy to build, and fast to travel, but far from the true beauty of the region.
@dvpzy6 күн бұрын
This is a result of windward and leeward because of the Andes Mountains. Chilean Patagonia is fertile and green while Argentinian Pagatonian is a desert. The opposite occurs in the North were Chile have the dryest desert and Argentina the most fertile land. In the middle of both countries occurs a shift of climates.
