In my opinion they should have made Mash a 5 star in LB6 like they turned her into a 4 star back in Camelot instead of just slapping a grail on her, because at this point she really deserves it both lore wise and gameplay wise.

@@dark_rit I don’t think so. From my perspective, by slapping on the grail, they basically locked her out of becoming a 5 star. Only way I see it working is that they make her a 5 star and keep the grail, raising her level cap to 100.

Game designwise its fine, this means she has room to grow both in terms of rarity AND grails, as opposed to if she maxed out her rarity already. It gives them more room to play with her development in the future. Gameplaywise it really doesnt matter lol

Most people don't use Kingprotea at all and just assume she's average. She breaks a lot of mechanics in CQs and her damage can get ridiculous even without external buffs. Easy A+ for me. Yes she is definitely a full tier above Okita alter (I want her buffed too Myst).

Van Gogh was so broken that Lasangle temporarily didn't give foreigners the outside of the realm passive.😂😂 So her placement is well deserved. Thank you Myst for dedicating your time for the tier lists. series. Shout-out to both Plushie and Otto for their company too. This was great to listen to. My point is that maybe it's not directly related to Gogh, since it took two years to do it. They didn't give it to Cnoc, then they immediately gave it to the Foreigner that released one month later. It doesn't look like they're trying to avoid anything.

Kingprotea is imo one of the most underrated servants in the entire game. People think that she isn't good because you need more turns to clear compared to other servants, but if you let her cook the first few turns she becomes unstoppable. I like her consistency a lot when it comes to simply overpowering any fight gimmick by sheer HP. I really don't get the "but she's squishy at the start" argument. She already has a 1 in 3 chances to get hit during a turn, if you pair her with anyone with a defensive buff like Merlin or Castoria you can just pop that at the beginning and by the time the enemy gets to NP she's already going to be cooked and ready to smash. Her base damage is very high and the buster crits hit like a truck when considering NP buster chains and the 40% atk up from the 3rd skill. Her NP damage was the biggest issue she had because it was low but even that was buffed and now it's very good due to the ramp up with growth buffs. Imo she definitely deserves the A+

i agree lol. I feel people don’t really understand how heavy her crits hit, especially her buster crits. Like.. you’re at some points doing ST NP dmg off of a face card alone and because of the high uptime on her skill 3 you’re essentially hitting most cavalry classes for 2x (no counting the buster up too for her passive). She’s great, but suffers from “yea, but..” syndrome. Definitely A+. And god forbid you place a black grail on her lol

I think the np only hits hard if you have an NP3+ copy. Like, it's not weak, but it's also not strong. Her crits are very good, but due to the teams you build around her (more defensive) you end up getting one or two turns of good damage and then back to stall. I don't think she's bad at all, I've used her everywhere and she gives results eventually, but she's not a powerhouse by any means. And if you end up using a more damage oriented team, you end up not capitalizing on her mechanics at all and instead bolster her massive attack stat. At that point you could use any other servant and it would be similar. Same for Merlin Castoria comp. Like, literally anything with buster cards work in that comp, so at that point bringing her is a massive overkill. None of your servants will die unless they are fragile AF and you get very unlucky.

She has no crit buffs; her own kit adds up to just hitting like cavalry counter class. Also half of it becomes irrelevant if you're pairing her with Merlin/Castoria. Not really aiding your own argument here.

Crits? Protea isn't for crit team but stall team. There are better options for crits and all crits sure hurt esp with star absorb and crit dmg up protea lack both.

Something interesting about Summer Abby, and yes, I know it isn't practical but I think it's worth mentioning because people like to farm with their favorites. She's widely considered to be among the worst buster farmers in the game, but she benefited hugely from the release of Summer Kuro. The difference in best case looping numbers with and without her are pretty staggering. Using 0.9X RNG and the ST debuffed enemy in parentheses, best case without Summer Kuro would be 47K (74K), 49K, 145K (215K). With Summer Kuro they're 65K (106K), 74K, 289K (415K). So if she happens to be your favorite and you're capable of doing so, she's more than viable for farming now.

Kinda surprised that Koyan Dark is in EX. The reason was that she can do something in multicore. Idk if the conditions have been changed, but if we are talking about np1, she does potato damage. Let's be honest, she ain't doing anything in 90++ farming in 90++ times in multicore because one of the downsides of multicore is that the buffs spread thin between multiple servants. Even with double Koyanskaya, she barely clears the 5 star daily quest hands. Under no condition, she does anything meaningful in 90++ multicore farming with less buffs without few exceptions where all the stars align for her. But it's like once a year thing where one will be totally fine without her 30% team battery. Of course, she can be good if you want to make her good. After almost 9 years, the game has almost every kinds of supports and CEs to do anything with any servants. Obvious example is Plushie's K dark. So, she ain't bad but she ain't EX material. As someone with only np1 K dark on both server (I have seen people with np5 K dark with less sq spent rip), I can confidently say that the list was better before the final adjustment. Lastly, it just looks bad to see K dark on the same tier as Kukulkan. It reminded me of the meme, "one is not like the others". If a player have the option to roll for only one of these 2 for gameplay reason, I feel like 100 out of 100 will pick Kukulkan over K dark. At worst case scenario, maybe it's 99 out of 100. If the result is so obvious, it only means the difference between these servants is at least 1-2 tiers. Otherwise people would be more split like Arjuna Alter vs Morgan comparisons. And I am under the assumption that it's a gameplay tier list.

30% aoe charge is extreamly valuable, and she gives aoe buster on top of that. Also a targeted oc can help your other dps alot, or even put it on her if you are fighting earth. Her damage can be a bit questionable but if you are fighting earth its fine most of the time, and if not you arent you can always get help from the other dps or support compareing to kukulan she does not have aoe charge and only gives aoe attack so id say shes strictly better at multi core, but being beaten at single core also she is a great crit dps who has eod

She still is, since depending on the enemy you're facing Wandjina can get her special stack buff faster than Dantes can apply with Burns, even if you take into account Burn CCs or other sources of Burn debuff from the team, since her stacks can be gained from both her cards and allies getting hit so you can ramp it up quickly against enemies with AoE attacks. Not to mention if the enemy is debuff immune which will put Wandjina at an advantage over Dantes, she also has party buff in the form of NP charge per turn and HP regen if you need to stall. Generally Monte Cristo Dantes will be better if he can stack his burns and you provide him with supports to end a battle quickly, but Wandjina can perform similarly while also giving you more leeway in case the fight lasts longer than expected

At the end of the day it's all for fun and realistically most servants arent so bad theyre unusable but its fun to rank them and it make brain chemicals go hue hue. Not sure if you remember me, but I'm that F2P person who recently started playing a few months ago, and has Kingprotea as their strongest/favorite Servant. I cannot stress enough how having _Kingprotea_ of all Servants be my strongest has fundamentally changed the way I think about just about everything in this game. As many others have pointed out in the past, she plays basically plays on a completely different axis than most other Servants, and I'm almost certain that the things I prioritize are very unusual because of her. For instance, you know that Command Spell that fully restores 1 Servant's HP? I don't see people using it often, but when your max HP is over 40,000... it's led to some hilarious moments. [3:37:17] From my experience with Kingprotea, it's best to view Infantile Regression as an "in case of emergency, break glass" button. You're right - most of the time, keeping the growth stacks is better, and I usually only use Regression if I know I can win the battle on that turn or KP's on very low on health anyways. Though, there is a pretty funny strat you can do on the first turn of a battle by using Monstrous Strength first, _then_ Infantile Regression, and _then_ use Huge Scale. It's extremely unlikely that Regression will be needed on the first 5 turns, so it's safe to do.

it's crazy how Molay has almost everything you want for a multi-purpose DPS. - NP damage trifecta (ATK Up, Card Up, NP Strength Up) - Critical damage trifecta (replace NP Strength Up with Critical Strength Up) - Anti-Trait special damage that can be freely applied to almost anyone - Ramp up effect on her NP - Good natural gains - Party buffs - 50% overall battery with a 30% self / 20% partywide split - Survivability - Van Gogh synergy - Alignment change for extra bonuses And yet despite all of that, she still feels so mid to decent....

Dont forget that she also has a great synergy with doman since she can give evil alignment to the frontline party, which will trigger 1 of the effect in douman's 2nd and 3rd skill (2 if the ally also had a chaotic alignment).

She is a 1-1 downgrade from Tai gong and loses hard to Casgil a 4*. She just need a proper aoe buff like 20% np dmg and gain and she becomes a strong servant.

Tai gong is way more focused as quick offensive support and all of casgil's kit is basically dedicated to support team, unlike molay who is a multi-purpose DPS, meaning that she is a DPS who can also happen to be a support.

If you talking about daily farming then you wouldnt even need a secondary DPS-support like them since most of the time you would just go for a double meta + DPS anyway due to how easy they are. If you talking about event farming, the usually came with an event CQ which you can play daily during the event duration. Speaking of CQs, why peoples oftenly forget the fact that we had advance quest which we can play anytime? I mean, it could be served as CQs to test out your servant, especially the high leveled AQ can be pretty challenging.

I feel like that part about Kukulkan and Castoria doesn't really matter, as you can simply not use Castoria's Skill 3 on Kukulkan if you want to use Castoria NP. Kuku can use the Arts buff but it's not that necessary since she only has 1 Arts ard so you can give the buff to someone else, or give it to Kuku on a different turn so she can get the Solemn Defense buff again

So glad to be following the servant tier list 2024 from the first tier list to this last one, they were really a blast and enjoyable. A big shoutout to our 3 great hosts, Myst, Plushie and Otto for the engaging discussions and the insights for each individual servants, to be honest, I am kind of sad to see this being the last list till next year before we could have the 3 of them sit down for another long discussion like this. I know I have said it in the zerk tier list but not sure if the idea of an updated gacha/free 5* CE tier list or a Command code tier list will be viable to make since I will really like to hear the takes for them and see if there are any change of opinions over the past 2 years since the list was made.

One of the notes for swimsuit merlin vs regular Merlin on the NP levels is that swimsuit merlin has the gauge up scale up by NP level while regular Merlin doesn't. Just hitting NP2 already brings it up from 5% to 7.5%. Definitely speeds up the cycling.

I think Xu Fu was added the way she was because of how vital Castoria is for many people. If you cannot pick up Castoria you can still get the 3 star version of her that is just Castoria but weaker in a few areas. But like was mentioned 20 stars per turn is actually insane, and makes her have a general niche that many servants dont have. Did not expect Bazett in EX considering she was A tier last year. I had to pity her and honestly I havent gotten a lot out of her. She really relies on having Castoria and Summer Skadi support so badly. Also she has some insane np generation, she was getting like 5% off buster cards when normally you would get 0. A quick crit usually gives her over half her np gauge back or more depending on the support. Ill still probably 120 her because once I get my own Castoria and Summer Skadi she should be way better, and shes still a favorite character of mine.

I mean... I mean... Yami Koyan EX at NP1 feels like a bit too biased. I also think personally that Van Gogh is not on Oberon level. EX, sure, but EX+ is a bit too much imo. His impact on 90++ farming is only matched and surpassed by Castoria, especially for people who don't have high NP level damage dealers. Anyways, thanks for the effort, it's been entertaining as always.

Van Gogh is to CQ's and hard story nodes what Oberon is to farming. She is that good as either a support for other existence outside the domain servants or as the DPS herself, like her numbers are cracked as hell even at NP1 but they SCALE off just NP level and not OC level. Just getting her to NP2 adds another +25% on crit damage. Then she's a stupid broken solo servant as well.

Thanks again Myst to another year's worth of tier lists! Though I wasn't able to tune in as much in the first few due to irl issues, I'm glad to say I caught up to the last few live. Your placements and explanations really helped solidify certain servants in my mind and even add more retrospect into why certain servants are underrated and overrated. Cheers to Plushie for being here again, and especially for Otto for keeping you company throughout. PS Still asking for Voyager to be buffed to EX (or you may just see him get another Strengthen this year 😈)

Without disrespect or anything, I think Otto's demons got the best out of him on the king protea "debate" 😂 I also wanna say, I'm okey with most of the placements, but wanted to comment on a couple things my ideas from using some of these servants A LOT. • King Protea does have problems with being too slow against high pressure enemies. Some of them will bring her life down faster than she will get up. At the same time, her damage is good but nothing crazy, so it's not so easy to kill them before they kill you, making her better in a comp that defends her than in a damage oriented one. If in this situation she's alone in the battlefield, her damage is really not great with a lot of downtime on her buffs and 2 skills that you can't use unless you want to click on reset button. • About Abby summer, I've found that even without Gogh she's deceivingly strong in terms of crits and have very nice multi core potential is treated properly. Her damage being low is a meme at this point, not only as support but as damage dealer too her debuffs when landed are a huge boost in damage and have let me do things I thought impossible before trying her out properly. And yes, with Gogh, her crits are amazing. • Sitonai is a mixed bag. Yes, she works, but tbh she's just carried by Castoria and her decent stats. Her kit is nearly inexistent half of the time and to make it worst she gives nothing to the one servant that makes her work (Castoria). I wouldn't put her so high, not because she's bad but because you can pick almost any other arts damage dealer and they will do more for themselves and the team than her, everyday. What makes Kiara so good is that with just a little bit of investment, the return is INSANE. Her kit is already terrific: Invul pierce, AoE remove charge and DEF down, battery. She's an excellent class and a queen for both annoying challenge quest and Arts farming.

The only problem I have with Femerlin is that she is going to be released after I have already gotten both OG Merlin and Tamamo. While Lady Avalon is better at the things either of the other 2 can can do individually, she is not better by so much that I can't comprehend skipping her and use the ones that I already have instead. But what seals the deal is the fact that they took OG Merlins NP, and made it less F2P-ish. And since I am never pulling for an NP2 of anything, skipping her sounds like a good idea the more I think about it.

I dont know if this comment will be seen, cos i came half a year late, but i hope with all my heart this tierlist series keep coming every year. I hear this as a podcast while im in the gym and i feel like even more important than the tier is all the pros and cons of the servant made by 3 amazing fgo content creators, i can agree or disagree in some placements but at the end i have a analysis on detail almost everytime with examples of cq, nodes etc to make my own opinion. I know this is a lot of work but i wish i could see the next tierlist in a few months from now, i love what you guys are doing.

I'm jealous of Arjuna Alter. Because by debuffing enemies BEFORE his NP deals damage, he makes Servants with special damage and power mods Vs debuffs like Yang and Molay respectively, seems weaker in comparison, at least on their first NP/wave. He never needs to card first unless you equip him with debuffing Command Codes. Servants like Yang and Molay on the other hand need help with debuffing enemies on the first NP/wave... Now imagine if they buff Arjuna Alter's skills to give debuffs like Morgan to guarantee that he can always exploit his skill 1 when his NP hasn't been used yet to debuff the enemy... Or if they give him an Anti-Divine special damage niche to make him reflect his Archer self...

I am coming back here to say that after finally actually getting around to building and using her a bit, Otto red pilled me on Summer Abby. B+ is fair when considering her as a standalone utility/damage support for a buster servant in a challenge setting, and I think the A ranking is fair when considering her in a Gogh team. I think she's actually better than most other outer realm servants when put next to Gogh, even some of the ones ranked above and in the same tier as her.

Love the videos every year, and great job as always on discussions! The only two things that I’d like to point out, is that Arts Crits seem to always be ragged on despite there being a lot of support for it now. Lots of servants are given crit kit pieces but because they’re arts, they get dismissed, even though we have servants like Johanna for absorb or Douman for damage or Yui for everything. And being arts, they have Castoria defense support or Tamamo cooldowns or just NP spam because crits make refund go brrrrrr. And the second thing is that while servants are based off of what they do best, it seems as though they are sometimes given a demerit for not being as good in other fields. I think it’s a bonus if you can do multiple roles, but if one servant does okay in one role and good in another, while the second does great in one role and not great in the other, they should probably be equal, if not the second servant being higher due to having a higher high in their best case. (This is pure Sphistar copium.) Also, when did Myst start saying nothing burger? Is that new? It’s like a flashbang every time I hear it lol.

Abigail Summer in A for Van Gogh synergy! I’ll take it! Honestly I cleaved through a lot of the 90+ Meta with a Summer Abby, Gogh, Himiko Crit Team! And on NA it almost never couldn’t 3 turn!

Tiamat's damage is so good that she can do a good amount of the 90++ quests we've had on JP at np1. Since this list is restricted to NP1 it's pretty rare that a farmer can single core multiple classes 90++. Even Summer Ibuki/Musashi probably need to hit niche to do that.Given that she's also strong outside of farming, EX is definitely fair for mom IMO.

@@muratticugaratti1571 At NP1 this just isn't true. Neither of those hits 500K damage on wave 3 and 90++ is often well above that. NP1 Tiamat hits over 700k which is often good enough.

The most memorable thing I have with Gogh is the one time I used her with Castoria in the team, I used Castoria NP then I used Gogh's first skill and wondered where's my charge. Absolute skill issue moment there.

I ended up using Gogh in a Castoria/Tamamo arts team against some of the super recollection bosses and ended up doing that a couple times myself 😭 Didn’t end up really mattering since using Gogh in an arts team feels so much safer albeit slower than using her in teams that lean harder into her crit damage. Almost feels like an immortal comp with the combo of terror procs and Castoria invul

Love to see the Xu Fu love she was my only real support unit when i started my JP this year and i love her. I originally only used her because I love Paisen but i was pleasantly surprised by how amazing she was, she honestly carried with a friend castoria until i picked up one or my own and sometimes i still break her out. My Xu Fu is almost bond 10 now she’s like 60,000 bond away and after that i plan on grailing her when i get a few more. Ushi Gozen wiped me out of my grail supply 😭

Pretty sure it's just like any other normal debuff (probably considered an ATK debuff?) that you should be able to resist, immune or cleanse.

Pretty powerful even for Arts Servants then, because for Arts you obviously have Arthuria Caster, who doesn't get Arts sealed and can cleanse the seal from everyone with her own NP.

@@Rahdwiin Well her NP cleansing the seal is pretty pointless since it's 1 turn only and would be gone the next turn anyway 😅 So only skills or MC skills could be an instant fix for it.

@@MystFGOIt allows for the DPS to use their NP straight from turn 1, so long as you are willing to have 1 less stack of Solemn Defense, by using NPNPX, with Arthuria Caster NP before the DPS one. Unless they don't allow you to even select the card to begin with, when it's sealed, I'm not sure if that's the case. I know for a thing that you can do that with face cards for stuns and such, but I never actually tested with a seal.

@@Rahdwiin Pretty sure you cannot choose the card when sealed. Think of it working the same way as an NP Seal does. You also cannot choose NP cards when stunned/charmed even tho you can do normal cards. The code is wonky.

The Kukulkan and Castoria combo argument is something I don't understand... in what scenario will these two ever cross paths? and how often would that even happen? Aside from that, I agree with the EX pick. If they ever decide to buff her, I wonder what kind of buff would it be and what would it take for her to become EX+.

I think Kingprotea would be a lot less clunky if her NP damage was on her 2nd skill and her NP gauge was on her 3rd skill instead of the other way around. She sounds so cool but blowing all her insane HP/res stacks just to charge her NP feels bad. I feel like it would be more rewarding if that sacrifice went directly into an insanely powerful burst turn instead having to use both skill 3 and skill 2 to do that.

For Tiamat, is she really needed when you have a 120 Np5 Melusine? I was wondering this for ages, since the two are so comparable. Tiamat does more damage assuming both deal neutral, but Tiamat has more opportunities to plank against a knight class enemy, whereas you don't have that too much with Melusine.
