Oh, Chickpea eatery. Last year , I spent 1 month in Da Nang and ate there everyday. Banh Mi, Cao Lau, Spring roll are my favorite. I can eat Banh Mi everyday, so yummy.

Btw, do not miss Hoa Phu Thanh waterfall sliding, really fun. Every year I come back Da Nang, I have to go there to enjoy fun and fresh moments among water and forest with adventure feeling. Only 30km away from Da Nang.

@@frankrollins8171 how old is your dad? I definitely think it's safe and affordable, the beach is great. Also if you need anything from a pharmacy, that's also extremely affordable. Is you're father active? Independent? Some areas of the city can be annoying to drive/walk etc. But the last time we were there they were fixing up roads and sidewalks. With regards to food, you can certainly find a lot of western stuff but also Vietnamese food is super yummy (and more affordable)

@@kasiainwonderland Thanks so much for replying :) He is 75, He plays golf every fortnight and goes to the gym a few times a week, he works in the building industry also. He had stroke issues but is on regular medication to manage that. He likes going to cafe's, hes a big cappucino fan during the day and he enjoys a good steak for dinner also a few beers. He likes watching sport and surfing the net when hes at cafes or indoors.

That was my experience in Vietnam as well. My last trip in 2020 to Vietnam was amazing. The prices were less expensive than Bali, Thailand. Cambodia was pretty cheap but that was a while back so I cannot compare Cambodia with prices in Vietnam. The last time I visited Cambodia there were a lot of construction built by Chinese ppl and there were a bunch of Chinese businesses everywhere. But in Vietnam, they held their own and the country was thriving when I visited in 2020.

Very informative!I am planning a 3-month slow travel to explore retirement possibility. The beach is so beautiful. In your video, I did not see any aggressive vendors at the Da Nang beach as I saw on Cartagena, Colombia, beaches last year. I pray the municipality keeps it that way. This video is great!

Wow, direct international flights to DaNang? The first time I visited Vietnam in 2014 I had to fly to ho Chi Minh City then fly to Da Nang. So, it’s good to know about the direct flight to Da Nang now.

At present there are direct daily flights from Tokyo, Seoul, Busan, Bangkok, Taiwan, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to Danang, and there are three flights a week from Chiang Mai, Thailand.

I watched your Da Nang videos from last year and went last month (March 2024). You were so on point with the food options. Kurumi was my favorite (but I also liked your other picks iVegan, Loving Vegan and roots cafe). I did not realize Maia beach club was new. I tried there and the other beach club, Paradise. I found a better spa spot, Sen Boutique Spa. The air quality was excellent when I was there last month (compared to Hanoi which was very bad). Keep up the good work, your suggestions were really good!! 👍🏾

Yeah it's very walkable in the beach areas! If you stay in My An close to the beach, you can walk to lots of places easily😊

For sleep, Oura seems to berfect in every way, and seeing the readiness score in the morning. Also the stress and resilience stats seem accurate and helpfull. But.... for fitness, it's not so good. I just bought an Apple watch actually for runs and exercise.

Yeah Nha Trang is nice in some ways, but especially for a longer stay I strongly prefer Da Nang. More options, and much clearer ocean water and surfing😊

In Da Nang, when i want to enjoy cool or cold weather i can drive to Ban Co mount, Ba Na hill, Bach Ma national park. In Tra Trang, I cant do this. If you have time, take a trip to Bach Ma and spend 1 night in the peak of the mount then explore srings, waterfall, lakes , forest and enjoy cold weather. Bach Ma is only 60km away from Da Nang.

What I find constantly confusing about these videos is the accommodation prices. You're saying $500 per month, then show the air b&b website advertising in euros. I just spent 3 months in Da Nang, it's loud, it absolutely stinks of sewer, piles of rubbish everywhere except this one beach strip that all youtubers like to show off, the food mostly sucks, the people are rude asf, walking vendors up to 3 at a time will hassle you when your trying to eat, traffic is shocking non stop horns all through the night, footpaths are jam packed with scooters and week old rubbish bins so your walking on the road most the time, food vendors with mega phones till 5am, ok it's fairly priced and the beach is nice but the smell is unbearable, unless you can fork out $60usd a night for a nice condo you'll be living in a pretty shitty neglected place. There's a reason Vietnam has the lowest return rate of foreigners.

Where did you stay?😂 I haven't smell any bad smell here and maybe you ate in wrong places if you think food is not good🙈 And you think my place is bad when it's $16 a night?

@@JooseTheNomad We stayed at 2 places, the muong Thanh luxury apartments and the continent hotel, couldn't have windows open cause of the rotten sewer smell every day, people were walking around blocking their noses especially around places like the Mia and the alleyways heading to the beach. As far as food goes, their noodles and broths were terrible we had better cup noodles, fruit bowls and stuff were nice but can't screw that up, ended up eating western food like bikini bottom, roadhouse and diner 66 after 2 months of trying endless local places. Our experience was terrible, glad your enjoying it but we won't be returning.

the empty constructions that you see in the video were postponed during the covid pandemic 2019-2020, many business men went bankrupted, blocking all the present constructions
