Agreed - I was just in Koh Phangan and I feel like this is what he is comparing to Bali...it's not comparable at all. Thailand is a huge country with many different budgets. Chiang Mai is much cheaper than Bali with a relatively modern infrastructure, working grab apps and tons of western options. Bangkok, I would also say is comparable with Bali in terms of price despite being in a major hub. If bang for your buck is your main concern, Thailand wins easily..

Nice video and imagery. A word of caution in that pricing here is very general and depends on what level of accommodation and transport you are looking for, as well as the length of rental. Thailand is a large country with many options, whether it's islands like Phuket, Samui, Phangan or mainland like Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Hua Hin- these will all have a wide range of prices. Same with Bali- Amed, Sanur, Canggu, Bingin all have very different profiles. But still somewhat informative content.
