Thank you for your honest emotions. so nice to watch! I am a Dutch guy, 65 years, this is not my kind of music but after seeing this clip it conquered me totally.... a masterpiece! Love and respect from Holand to you all. En mijn complimenten voor je Nederlands!

His father passed away when he was 12. His mother a year later. This is a tribute to them, mainly his dad. His dad told him the world has no borders (this word also means limits/boundaries in Dutch) and to travel. This song is about an orphan traveling through Europe. He's singing out going to Germany, but feeling alone, going to Italy but it's still hurting, screaming for help etc... On top of that he told/promised his parents that one day he'd be on the Eurovision stage. He's now fulfilling that promise and living without boundaries. Again like his father told him to. At the very end in this song he therefore says "See dad, I listened to you".

This is a masterpiece!!! This is the winner of Eurovision Songcontest 2024, for me. No doubt. Research: Europapa = Eurodad. 12 points for The Netherlands. An ode to his father who passed away when he was 12 years and his mother who passed away when he was 13 years. His father told him that there are no borders / boundaries, no limits. Go, travel and discover Europe and the world. He promised his father that one day he will be singing at the Eurovision. They used to watch it together when he was a child. Now he made it, because he will be on stage this year. Everywhere he travelled he carried the pain and grief with him. The fire simbolise letting go of the pain of no having his parents and the start of a new chapter in his life.

Hello! Nice review. It is a subgenre of hardcore: happy hardcore which had a big foundation in the nineties in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany and was played on raves. It's kinda like an underground scene. The song is a tribute to that style. Dj Elstak (a famous happy hardcore dj) has also a cameo in the clip

One part of the song reminds me Basshunter and another one 2Unlimited :) I had to switch on the subtitles. I feel like there is an euroentusiasm at the beginning of the song and then turn into disapointment. I like it but I feel that the song with a message should have to be in english. However I like the songs in native language to show the beauty of them.
