I'm done with that festival. They're claiming to be all about inclusivity, but when it's time to show it, they block Joost performing as a tribute to his parents. I'm boycotting this douchefest.

Me and many of my family and friends won't be watching it anymore. A big Israeli concern controls the whole thing, and they were behind the ploy to get rid of Joost because he and many people in the Netherlands were already calling Israel out for committing genocide in Gaza by then.

This year the Netherlands was disqualified for a very bad reason And we are the first country in history that has been disqualified . Partly because the organization does not create a safe environment for the artists. After the legal case the Netherlands was allowed to participate again but missed its chance to win. Many Dutch people do not watch this anymore and think that the Netherlands should leave the Eurovision Song Contest.

although due to Claude participating this year people that wanted to go away might still watch it due to it being Claude, especially if he qualifies(which i think he will). i think that was also the planning for VPRO to get people to watch it again

1998 and 2007 are Edsilia Rombley you where right on that one! she and Hind did not deserve to not qualify. I think sieneke and Joan the indian were the trolls (so far) and 2023 we should just forget that was teally bad and joost should have won

I'm Dutch too and i highly dislike Dutch songs. Just give me an English or a good Arabic song xD 2 of the few languages that actually sound good in my opinion.

@@dark-shadow_ I like almost everything except dutch. I listen English, arabic, french, bulgarian, russian, indian,, japanese, Ukranian, Portugese, spanish, Swedish and the list goes on and on, but dutch I just don´t like the sound of the language. The lyrics are most of the time wortless and the real Amsterdam folkmusic I esspesialy hate it´s sounds like I dying cat haha. I´m 100 % dutch for at least a 20 generations my family is a 100 % dutch and maybe even more, so it´s not even that I grew up with another culture next to the dutch one (I always wished I had, but not the case haha).

@@WednesdayAddams90 same! The music is absolutely horrible and i can’t stand it. My opinion is that i just don’t like the Dutch language in general and people find me weird for saying that haha. I dislike the whole language as a whole and it just never sound good. I also always had difficulties pronouncing the language and it makes me stutter most of the time while I don’t have issues with that when speaking another language. Atm i speak more English than Dutch and my colleagues at work just have to deal with that😂

@@dark-shadow_ People think it's weird when I say it to. esspecialy because I only grew up with the dutch culture and I dislike almost everrything about it. I don't like the language, I think the dutch food is disgusting, it's to cold and rainy. The scenery isn't pretty. I think I really need to emigrate haha. Haha good thing most people do speak and understand english in the netherlands so it doesn't cause for problems at work. My english writing is terrible and my frenulum of my tongue is to short and because of that I lisp. So that why my pronoucing isn't that great either. But I understand everything and I can speak it good enough to make myself understandable. The easiest language to pronounce for me is german, but I don't like that language either (although I think it sounds better then dutch haha). I have a social anxiety disorder so I don't really interact much in real life. Only online in this sort of ways and that's alway's english . So for me I also speak more english then dutch. And sometimes I can't even remember the dutch word for some things and the english word I know so when I talk to people in real life, often I use english words in between the dutch haha

After disqualification I was done with eurovision still are Ebu didn,t own their mistake and it is all about the money they let artiest to be trolled and threathned at eurovision 2024 for speaking their mind

Dutch here and i am not a fan of Eurovision Dutch entries past the 2000' show some national pride guys. I expect France to sing French, Austrians German and we Dutch, Dutch but with only 2010 2021 and 2024 they where all English and with a few exception that was boring
