virtually ejected from the truck. could've easily had a basal skull fracture or full body crush. Easily could've been fatal. hope he is able to recover.

He wasn’t thrown out. He was trying to climb out with the truck still moving.

That was scary.. Never seen a racing suit burned that badly in Nascar. His arms looked like roasted marshmallows.

thankfully that truck stopped as soon as it hit the wall and didnt spin again... he looks as if after the truck hit he held on to it until the right time to pop out ontop of the wall...if that truck had more momentum it could of grabbed his legs and rotated his body around it definitally would of helicoptered his body into the fence and safety barriers with severe injury at a minimum... The Good Lord reached down and stopped that truck for sure and lead him right up ontop of that barrier. the other thing is initial contact with the wall... if he was not able to hold on to the truck... he could of went head first into the wall... that would of killed him for sure and may of also dragged him under the truck... SO SCARY! never seen anything like that before...

so i have 2 questions- 1st off praying for a fast recovery for Mr. Anderson, - #1 they say it was a broken fuel line (unless there is another report i missed)... the firewall should have been sufficient to stop fire from encroaching the cockpit so fully (granted my experience is in spec miatas 4 cylinder engines not nascar 700 + HP, but still the design should be similar) #2 the trail of fluids left behind- seems to have been trailing all the way to the wall- long after the engine (and in turn all fuel flow) has stopped, thats a lot of fluid on the ground - is the fuel pump turning becuase the transmission was possibly still engaged? i realize a firewall isn't full on protection but- it certainly seems something else failed other than a fuel line

And sad to say this was actually near fatal because when he hit the wall he was out of the car halfway😢

Billion dollar company, and how many sever injuries is that now this year? Drivers safety should be the main priority. Example next Gen car, no practice, limited testing and fires, blown tires, bone crushing hits, etc.

Dude said, "Ejecto seato cuz!" I get that the truck was on fire, and the smoke was thick, but seriously?! NEVER crawl out of a moving vehicle with other trucks driving beside you!!!! That was stupid.

If you look closely you can see the fire is in the cockpit

This is one of those things much easier said than done. You don't think clear in these moments and Any one of us if we're on fire would do whatever we could to get out of the fire. Dude has second degree burns all over his body and I'm sure it was straight fight or flight. Was it a smart move? No. Did he know he was cruising towards the wall? Probably not. It almost seems like when he heard his spotter say "Get out" He's like "OKay!" Can I blame the guy? No. Who's to say another 5-10 seconds wouldn't have made it third degree. I believe he intended to ride the window until the truck fully stopped vs. staying inside and burning up. At the end of the day, he's alive, and has a hell of a recovery time coming.
