Seeing that black number #3 car going around the track on the pace laps going 200 mph is truly awesome, what’s interesting is the fact that Richard Childress put in a different gear, so it did bump the chip a little bit but cleaned up nicely, but what a great video!! that’s a nice way to remember one of the greatest drivers of all time Rest In Peace to the Intimidator, truly a special experience, indeed!! 😎😎

Rob Hawkins ...I live very close to Daytona Int’l Speedway and have followed Dale’s career from the very beginning of his Winston Cup days. I will NEVER stop telling folks of the times I was able to get up close to The Man. The unrestricted access we had to all the drivers back then was truly unbelievable, even more so than what a fan with a garage pass can get today. @@MRNASCARFAN25 Uhhhh...No bud. They're running the exact same engines they've been running for over a decade, and similar engines for nearly 25 years. All you young kids that never saw NASCAR (real Nascar) racing from the 70's / 80's / 90's missed the best form of true stock car racing EVER. Bodies that fit the templates, 5 lug nuts per wheel, a real gear box with a shifter, and a carburetor ... and guys with a set of stones driving them. Real racers who actually knew how to work on their own stuff, and had real personalities. God how I miss those days.

Seeing that black #3 Chevrolet on the racetrack and Richard wearing the open faced helmet, brought back memories of Dale and tears to my eyes, all I can think about is the Man in Black the Intimidator #3 Dale Earnhardt! I was a true Earnhardt fan, I never rooted for anyone but him, I miss that black #3 and I wish it wasn’t brought back to race

Thank you Richard Childress. We all needed that im teared up right now writing this. I grew up in a house with my mom and sister and that was who i always looked up to. I never missed a raced. Some people call him superman. Naw he was just a normal person no super powers he rarely had the fastest car. Yall just never gave up and he drove every single lap like it was his last lap. Years went by and the new teams with faster cars and drivers came and went but there was one thing that never changed if you wanted in the top 3 in points you had to get past Dale Earnhardt

Not a huge NASCAR guy, but for an owner to do this himself is pretty cool. Think about it: most owners are either above something like that or would have someone else do it. In this case, the man with the car title got in there and did it for the fans. Pretty special and sets a good leadership tone.
