He was nervous!!! 😩😭 he’s amazingly talented BUT he’s always choosing such challenging songs! I remember watching his journey on The Voice Australia and really felt like he was better on there. Idk maybe it’s because his voice matured and now it’s harder to control? I like him a lot and hope he doesn’t let his nerves get the best of him.

I feel like people overhyped this. This performance was off key and pitchy until the last couple notes. Maybe it sounded different live cuz the judges liked it

I've just watched it back 3 times at different volumes, and it was hard to listen to every time. He was off key almost the whole time from what I heard. And I think he is a PHENOMENAL SINGER. But that performance was way off, at least listening through the TV. I felt so bad for him, he knew he was off too. I could never have the courage to do what they do, especially live. He really does have an amazing voice though. ❤

with a touching song choice, started nicely emotional, voice was breaking a little. It sounded good in his voice, mostly. Brought some bigger moments and showed a little lower range. Pretty good.

Some of his tender notes while moving through his vibrato were nice, and so was his belt. It was a sophisticated vocal. He handled the mic bend situation, and it was a solid performance, overall. The slight criticism was the opening; it was a bit rough.

Lionel believes in him and he was sitting on a gold mine as a person of many songs. That talent was part of his day job......
