Virtually unparalleled in terms of the enduring legacy 2010-2020, which is already signed, sealed, and delivered...now casually beyond his prime and a veritable ancient warship out there in brackish, mine infested hostile waters surrounded by the latest and greatest yet still flying a few heads whenever shots are test fired carelessly across the bow. 36 years of age. Imagine it. Consider the likes of USA's ubiquitous wrestling icon Dan Gable, who by 25 had virtually entered into centenarianism with hips literally popping out of socket left and right, so stiff and shot (but still capable of knuckling the occasional pot-shooter in his own right) that it was a foregone conclusion that Munich would be his only time under the five rings. Both men are wrestling royalty, but man, it is unreal to think Jordan Burroughs still moves like that. Gable was practically hoverround-bound at 36.

Love Jordan but I feel that he has never adapted his style to compensate for his older age. First thing that goes is your explosiveness, and his whole style and olympic 2012 gold medal was based on that. My personal opinion is that if he wants to continue to have success at the highest of levels(his 36 yr body is still better than many in their peak mid 20's) he needs to close the distance and work from close ties or underhooks to create offense that does not require the same kind of explosiveness as his doubles.
@JbBlastdouble4 ай бұрын
Agree, he looks like he’s handfightibg ability has improved and is going low ankle sweeps and snap downs, isn’t really relying on doubles too much

@@JbBlastdouble Dude, you need to pay more attention. Levi has some work to do, but he is a unit wrestling up in weight in freestyle where strength wasn't an issue. Obviously you never wrestling in college or International level. The amount of talent and brutal hand fighting with all kinds of different wrestling moves in there where they're counting blocking and not giving up any bad position which makes it even more exciting at this level when someone does get in on the legs and actually finishes the take down! it's a lot more brutal straight and conditioning and mental toughness that you can't see or comprehend if you've never wrestled in division 1 College or the upper levels of freestyle and International USA men's wrestling events

For those few people who are commenting about this being boring or not enough offense I just have one last comment to make to you no one's making you watch this if you can't comprehend what's going on go and during these matches. No reason to keep wasting time trying to tell you different you just never experienced it and don't recognize the art form of elite wrestling guys are not going to take bad shots they have to continue doing all kinds of different maneuvers that are way too many to try to list here try to create an opening or angle to even have a chance to take a decent shot and get to the legs they went out there and just fired off a bunch of offense and bad positioning they get their asses beat
@CodyBunker4 ай бұрын
@jeffk7399 hey genius! How are you supposed to know if it is going to be exciting or not? I love watching wrestling. I understand it deeply. I was a collegiate level wrestler. Jordan has become incredibly boring. Dave Taylor is the same age and still pushes the pace and is always going. Jordan doesn't. Maybe he should retire
