I like Henderson. I think he is basically a good egg. I challenge anyone offered ridiculous money to turn down a job in Saudi Arabia. I refused to work on a project involving them (I have actually resigned from a job that was putting me on a Saudi Arabia contract twice), but I wasn't being offered £350K per week. As for deferring his salary for tax reasons, if it is legal, what is wrong with it? The moral police should put themselves in Hendo's boots and see if their morals still hold strong. I know every player can be bought, but integrity was so much a part of his persona this will be hard to walk back, and many clubs will be leary. It makes sense that Ajax would be interested. Had he same experience in Saudi. They do not pay on time. Sometimes you can wait up to 4 months to get your money. I had to get my local MP in the UK to help me by embarrassing my employer the Saudi Ministry of Health. Worse I could not quit as the Ministry held my passport. This was in the nineties and nothing has changed. Many restrictions but that is the culture and I knew this before I went so I can not criticise that. It is their country. However at that time only locals could be bosses and often I had inferior people making decisions which in hospitals often lead to unnecessary fatalities on the operating table. Heartbreaking
