A few days before NYE I left Amman and headed down south to check out 2 must-see places in Jordan - Petra and the Wadi Rum desert. The ancient city of Petra in Jordan is one of the 7 New Wonders of the World. Walking through the narrow canyon in search of the old hidden town was exhilarating. The Wadi Rum desert, also known as the Valley of the Moon is one of the most incredible wildernesses I've seen.
Being completely obsessed with deserts and wanting to take my time in the area worked out perfectly with it being time to welcome in 2019! For this very special NYE, I was invited to the Bait Ali Lodge (www.baitali.com/ )

Some interesting contrasts in weather and riding conditions. Looked like a nice camping spot you found-good way to be at one with the surroundings. Recognised Petra from the Indiana Jones movie The Last Crusade. I just bought myself a new bike-and rode back in a southerly which for us is cold. Got down to 9 degrees. Bought a Ducati Scrambler Classic. Looking forward to taking it for a descent ride in some fine weather. Look forward to your next video. I appreciate all the effort you go to with your editing and setting up for shooting when you are not behind the camera-it's a lot of work. Brilliant record of your travels in the region.
