He reiterated this point really nicely on the Jocko podcast: 'dangerous, but disciplined'. In my estimation, and as I explained to my wife, boys will be boys, and it's necessary to be a boy, to properly become a man, and one first has to become a man, to be a gentleman. That is inclusive of all the rough, rowdy, harsh, intense and crude aspects along the way, but as one matures into manhood, all of that is able to be kept in check and controlled by the man's intelligence, maturity, self control, and sense of responsibility and patience. That, is what makes a man. No amount of manners or etiquette can replace the raw power of the male nature. Then, it's just a matter of finding a woman who can counter balance that.

@@maroscincura2444 No, that is not the definition. That means: you know the power you have, but you tweak it towards the good side, and make the best out of it. You know you can speak very good with people: such as friends, professors, teachers, cashiers, or any other kind of such... and you know you are able to make them agree on things with your point of view. BUT- you always choose the right way of doing it. And the way that makes justice. Never step on anyone. Never rise above someone by putting the other one down, never say false things that might cause problems, or disrespect other people in any sort of way. I grew up being told by my mom, my sister all my female friends and family that I should be a nice well behaved guy with women. Be a real gentleman etc. Growing up without a father I wish Jordan would have told me this before. Some day I realized what women really want and think and my entire world and logic collapsed. It was always there, the evidence was always in front of me but the beautiful lie I was educated on was just too logical for me to not meet reality. Women like the alpha male who just thinks and does what he wants to a healthy limit. No women craves a nice well educated “yes my darling” guy, at least most don’t and the most attractive one’s even less. I’m not saying women are some sort of masochistic creature but they do like the tough bad guy with a good heart. It took me 15 years to realize that. Once you realize that an entire world opens to you, it’s fascinating how humans behave and I wish somebody would have told me the truth earlier...

Man , was it harsh ?! bloody yes. Am i free now ? FUCK YES. Be an independent tough guy , driven by logic and a "pure heart"-curiosity over things you like . women are secondary your own legacy is primary ! MGTOW here ! greetings from Italy !

well please don't take this as an insult or anything in that sort of way. I do not know you personally so I can't judge you but there is one thing that you said is absolutely out of my common sense and logical thinking. That thing you mentioned I have seen sooo many times (luckily never happened to me) which is the action of "friendzoning" a man. I do understand that things need to be clear if there is no interest in a romantic relationship because I myself had to explain this to a couple of girls as well. The REAL problem comes when explaining the situation but still wanting all the benefits of a man who is trying to enter a romantic relationship, which in my eyes resembles mental abuse. If you explained the situation to him and did not take advantage in any way of him, well then well done I just hope it didn't was the other way.

@klaus Exactly right. Why would any man want Miss Wrong? Miss Right absolutely will bring something to the table other than just her physical self, as I will as well. And she had better bring her A-Game when we meet and impress me, because I will be on my A-Game for her to see and judge - and I don't accept anything other than her best efforts when I'm showing her mine. I view lack of effort as simply insulting. I expect a woman to have standards to which she expects me to meet, and I have no problem with that. However, she had better be able to meet her exact standards with me, and maybe more when my standards are added in. A woman without standards, or unable to meet her own standards that she sets on men, is not worth the time and effort.

@@tommyt2974 Say you are a trader. But you are afraid to make calls. Can you be a trader if you are afraid to do that? Yes. But it is always going to disrupt you. If you master it, you will double your income. Fear is your guide. The thing you are afraid to do is the thing that prevents you from growing. How many people want a love of their live? How many of them are afraid to talk to a person? It all comes down to the Laws of Nature. Every action causes a reaction. You want a reaction(love, start a bussiness, save money), so you have to make an action(talk to people, come up with a solution, stop spending). It is possible to get a job without calling anybody, but the likehood of such thing happening is slim. It works the other way too. Start a hundred of bussiness and at least some of them will succeed. And that might as well be the recipe for success. Do it thousand times over. And then some more.

Not really because the grey jedi are mostly the cowards Peterson speaks of who disguise their cowardice as morality. At least they're portrayed this way in the KOTOR games, which are the most philosophically interesting part of the star wars canon imo, although I guess there are a few such as Kyle Katarn who try to implement these teachings. Unfortunately, they're not allowed to because in their universe, there's actually no way to integrate your shadow if you're force sensitive, you'll inevitably succumb to the dark side. Bummer.

It always surprises me that there are so many random and short videos of Mr. Peterson on youtube, and he could have all these removed claiming copyright issues, especially since it contradicts with his online courses and all. But judging from the number of videos (mostly from different channels), I like to believe that Mr. Peterson lets all these videos of his lectures purposely stay on youtube, because he knows there are so many of us who would never really care about a self-improvement or self-help programme but can be easily click-baited into watching these short videos. I hadn’t even heard of him till last month and now he has changed my life. Dr. Peterson is the hero the world needs, and badly.

9:25 Speaks so much to my past self. For years I was weak, cowardly but immensely resentful. I dreamed up horrid fantasies as a coping mechanism. Eventually I came to realise just how monstrous it all was and more importantly how capable I was of doing it, I could act out on those fantasies whenever I wanted, all I needed was one moment of resolve and a sharp object. I then spent two years turning myself into a monster and it was the happiest two years of my life, I had better friends more determination and was generally happy with the way life was going. I was living out a real world power fantasy and I nearly let it possess me as peterson says, which is why I now do martial arts as a sort of outlet.

Amazing that a man who doesn't call himself a Christian has a better idea of who Jesus was than most folks who do call themselves Christian. Jesus wasn't harmless. He wasn't a "nice" guy. C.S. Lewis described Jesus allegorically in his book 'The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe" when the children asked if Aslan was safe. Mr. Beaver's reply was to essentially say "safe?! No. But He's good." Most folks who see Jesus as that harmless Mr. Nice Guy haven't spent more than five minutes reading the gospels. Or go to Revelation... He's coming back on a white charger with a sword coming out of His mouth and blood on His robe. He's coming back leading an army to destroy all of His enemies. That's not very nice.

Jesus had strange priorities. He should have let Martha carry on with the housework (but I suppose that in itself marks her as someone who knows the value of hard work - and makes her someone you'd want to talk to), but in context, he just wanted to preach to her. He's generally a good guy, but he does some really weird things to spread the word of god.
