It's just incredible that he has been at this for so long and it's really starting to pay off. He will be the most influential Canadian intellectual of our age already, and he may damn well turn this ship around yet.

Read Smedley Butler's "War is a Racket," and then you'll understand class guilt. Unfortunately, those people don't have the conscience required to feel guilt.

Historical determinism is not a belief. Inequality is not produced by magical and bad persons... I see you are really using ideas of common sense to create an argumentation. I don't know if you are teaching in an university, but if you think phenomena is not produced by previous or actual conditions...

OK Mr. Know-it-all, what it all boiled down to - your beloved "kulaks", even as group, just could'n produce as much food as it was nessessary for growing republic(USSR) that was rebuilding the country from a largly agrarian backyard empire into large industrial powerhouse that it became in just a couple of decades. The ineffisent Russian empire that recently lost wars to all( even tiny ass Japan) was doomed anyways. Was it all bloody? Hell yah! Where there ways around it, ways to do it all peacefully and nicely to please averyone? NO! Stalin was a freaking wizard! I grow up in a "kolhoz" by the way, so I know what I'm talking about. Individual farms prosper, but they will never give as many goods as the collective ones. Period! As always check your sources.

Kolhozes don't exist anymore, you doughnut. Those are юридические лица nowadays, you know. Kolhozes were unable to produce shit. Hell, ussr didn't even have toilet paper like 50 years ago. What are you talking about? Also, Russia is large, ussr even more so. So dekulakizarion was totally uncalled for from the economical standpoint. The government could've rolled out kolhoz without stealing land from those who owned it rightfully. But oh we gotta punish those oppressors. Really?
