HOLY COW--i swear i just experienced the entire scope of human emotion in 9 minutes. i went from complete dejection and horror and lack of faith in humanity to absolute joy and love and having my confidence in people restored yet again. it's so awful to see a dog be treated so callously and in such a disgusting manner but it's so wonderful and even beautiful to see so many people working together to save the life of a poor little defenseless dog and CONTINUING to do so day after day. god damnit i love this video. you guys are great.

I am a grown man and when I watched this about 4 or 5 years ago and I cried so much when I saw him sitting on the plastic. Desperately trying to stay dry. Knowing that somebody can be so cruel to cut his leg off and throw him away like garbage just ripped my heart out. NO living creature should have to go through so much pain. I'm just happy that he is in a good place now and will be given the love that he deserves.

This was sad. I hated seeing him on top of that chip bag alone and giving up, but it is still was not Hope for Paws' saddest story. The saddest one was of Dennis, the abandoned pittie that was living in a cardboard box full of garbage and was covered in ticks by a highway. So many people passed him by and no one did anything. By the time HfP found him, it was too late, he was dying. He didn't get to know what a good life was. That was the most vile and repulsive thing, people completely apathetic to the pain of a dying animal and have the galls to simply make a face and walk away. That's the part I find vile and repulsive.

I love you guys. I rescued a blind, diabetic 2 year old pup and had him for six years before he died of anal cancer. Best dog and friend I ever had. This mission is truly a calling. My dog was named Jordy. He’s been gone three weeks and I still grieve. But will rescue again if I can. Bless you!

I don't own a dog, never have. But I watch this video 2 or 3 times a week. This dog has seen both war and hell. I've never seen anything with such a broken spirit with fear and defeat on its face than this amazing little creature. I worked in a vets when a dog was brought in after being knocked over and dragged by a bus. His hind leg was torn to pieces and the useless owner, who later abandoned him, left him with us for a few days before deciding to have the leg amputated. In that time he was ferocious and we could barely get near him, all due to the pain. Finally the vet performed the amputation and the following day I thought enough was enough and he had to be handled. I slung a sliplead on him and was stunned that he was a completely different dog. Without the pain of the limb and in a matter of a day he was running around and playing. I fell in love with him. He taught me that no matter what, we have to get up, keep going and live in the now. This video brought all of that back.
