Perdita is so sweet, especially under the circumstances, whilst frightened she never displayed any aggression which would not be unexpected really. She’ll make a lovely companion for someone. Pongo, once he felt safe, showed such a fun and playful nature, he’s also going to make a fun companion. Seven healthy pups from nine is a miracle in itself, with Perfita having to fend for herself in harsh conditions. Great job, HFP, thank you for all you do.💕🐾🐾

Oh my god, truly a Christmas miracle! Perdita would have died out there trying to deliver puppies in the rain and mud and then unable to push anymore! She and the puppies would have all perished. Eldad, Katie, and Kai were amazing in their efforts to save this family.

At the moment, she doesn’t want anything to do with him… we tried to reunite them a couple of weeks ago, but she is protective over her pups. (as she was giving birth, she didn’t ask him nicely to leave the room… She showed her teeth and he got the hint) 😅

You can immediately see that these two dogs are used to humans, perhaps to the family. I think they were abandoned or fled. They were lucky to meet Hope for Paws. In fact, the mother would have died alone with the puppies that she could not expel and consequently the others. Hope For Paw are the angels for these unfortunate ones. Heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers.🐾🐾🐾

the timing really is an incredible thing. Once I rescued an emanciated, flea infested kitten that got separated from his mom, and on that night a terrible storm came that I don't think he could have endured on his own.
