I have always tried to keep the club fact square immediately before, during and immediately after the impact, so it's interesting to know Jordan does that. The fact that his left elbow bends after release makes sense -- if you try to keep the club face square for a longer period, as you extend your right arm while you release, your left elbow has to bend eventually. If you want to keep your left elbow straight, you would have to cross your right arm over at some point, which causes the rotation of the club head.

I don't mind the left elbow bend; Faldo had it and dominated capping it off by crushing Norman in 96.....wrist's never change angles during the swing and the left hip and leg are paying a price; possible changes....left hip going down a little earlier in the swing and watching some Davis Love swings.....

Yes, a lot of great ball strikers have a slightly bent left arm at impact, Sergio does and 1999 Tiger as well

Upright, to flat and shallowing. Difficult concept, but he has it working for him.

Soooo, if you bow the left wrist and bend the left arm, that is similar to taking a really strong grip??? (In terms of squaring the clubhead for contact.)

The weak grip and the slight bow changed my game forever. I was such a hooker of the ball and now I hit fades like I always knew I could.

At the 8:38 minute mark, there goes your theory about not taking too deep of a divot! And any reference taken from John Miller, take for instance "wipe" you got to believe the person has no idea what they're really talking about.

Hey I'm not a big fan of these detailed swing analysis'. I'm a great golfer, but you should talk more about how the hips move through the ball before and after impact. Also how the right hand comes down through the plane as a piece.
@Golfsmartacademy7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. I find that many golfers struggle with their lower body action because of what they do with their arms. But if you have good hand action, then focusing on the lower body can be really helpful. I have a number of videos highlighting the lower body, but try to connect the dots in these analysis videos.
@Drewski7777 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply! I do agree with the lower body. In my swing theory, which I believe is so correct it's the only way to golf with maybe, MAYBE, very slight deviations to the dynamics. But, I believe the lower body kick starts the caressing movement of the arms that follow with as much tempo and rhythm as music does and Sam Snead. Please read this --- get the correct grip; keep your hands on plane, bringing them down exactly where they were at address so you don't shank it; RELEASE LATE, meaning turn those hips like Ben Hogan and never let that hinge in your hands lose, nor letting your arms ever speed up in the downswing until you've turned those hips through to the ball, and don't slow the hips or stop them. It's all rhythm and it's so beautiful like dancing in a waltz. If you will, I'd like to send you a video of my swing so you can give me a swing analysis. Don't look at my swing on my channel, I'm way better than that now; and I'm going to be on Tour, and could quite possibly have the skills to be in the PGA within a month, I just need to start shooting for par instead of birdie, cause birdies come and birdies go, but pars get you those low scores.

Mostly what I see here is that he's Jordan Spieth, and we aren't...
@swish1onu5 жыл бұрын
He doesn't flip his wrist through the ball... Rory flips his wrist, or has wrist snap while Spieth keeps the face square for a longer period of time...

Yea he should have said Rt shoulder is higher, all the better better strikers seem keep the left shoulder lower longer in transition

This is exactly problem with golf. Lines and angles analysis. Try analyzing somebody walking, and you will end up causing them to have problem walking, and golf is much more complicated.
