In this chat with Fearne, Jordan opens up about his social anxiety, body dysmorphia, and the way he used to self-medicate ADHD. They also discuss when anger can be an incredibly useful emotion, and discover they have a shared core fear of getting things wrong.
Have you found anger to be a useful emotion when looking back on your past experiences? 🤔
Jordan Stephens also discusses how time, money, and attention turned out to be a difficult combination for him to cope with at the height of his Rizzle Kicks fame.
Jordan’s children’s book, The Missing Piece, is out on August 18th.

I use to think anger helped me, then after I was angry with something or someone, they would be fine . Then I would be angry with myself because because I felt my anger showed no impact, plus I would feel guilty for my anger or what I had done wrong. So in a way I was like a grown up child having a tantrum & expressing my self in a way by all the things I had seen on films or television programs & computer games. Because I had never been taught how to handle anger. But still inside I had enough compassion to feel angry with myself & guilty & sorry. Unlike other people I have no voices in my head to blame except my own.. if I ever see any of the people I may have hurt or been angry with. I will say sorry for hurting them & tell them I carry no anger & their life would be much better if they didn't carry their anger or mine.
