Game 1 was awesome. Ganji the trebs forward relatively undefended was a sick decision. Never would've thought of that myself but I think it got a lot of value from the trebs that they wouldn't have had if they were sitting in the back waiting for the end of the fight like most people would've done.

Fantastic series. One underappreciated civ bonus that we see demonstrated in Game 3 is the +1 pierce armour instant Hussars from Turks. We see them be effective at killing monks, vills and even sniping siege while under castle fire (admittedly no fletching) despite having ZERO upgrades researched. To have such a useful unit available with no major time or resource investment is so strong!

I think the game 3 was so much more than just the civ bonuses t90 was talking about. Jordan prioritized scouts early on and forced the first castle to be at home. Then by the time the second castle is on him he already has the stone for defensive castle. By that point he is faster to imp with more eco. Basically outplayed him the whole way through more than just a civ bonus imo

It's civ bonuses that allowed that however. No other good arena civ can get light cav as fast as turks. No other civ can make bombard cannons immediately upon reaching imp and making their range 14 too. Light cav were important for forcing the castle to be home and artillery was the power move brought with fast imp.

@@Progeusz the points I brought up are irrelevant to those bonuses. However those bonuses helped yes. And probably Burgundian’s or bohemians would be able to almost pull off the same thing. I’m just sayin t90 was almost acting like it’s the civ that got him the win where I’m saying the entire strategy and game sense was way more important than the civ bonuses

The unsung hero unit type of game 1 was the halbedier. They were super useful in clearing out the army. #halbsunderrated

Game 1 was one of the best i've seen, very well played from ganji, franks never disappoint! game 3 though, WTF? he had the opportunity to win this, if only he didn't choose a full monk and organ unit mix, which is stupid cause unprotected, he did the most difficult, pushed and drop the castle, had the trebs, all he had to do was make units!!! cavalry to take out bombards and some trash units to counter hussards and CA...such a shame! GG to both of them anyway
