Love the relationship you have with your parents. These cruises are their reward for the hours driving to ice rinks and competitions. I told my swimmer daughter for every minute I spent at pools she owed me a minute in the nursing home😂😂😂

QUESTION: So not only yourself but every other crew member counts down their days until the end of the contract. Is there an incentive to work until the end of the contract? What stops someone leaving early? When I toured with bands, there was usually an end of tour bonus if you had done the full tour. Wondered if this was the same thing with cruise ship contracts?

If you leave early that’s a resignation, you have to pay for your own tickets back home. Remember most of crew is not from US and is far from home. Also you probably can’t work again with the company.

My husband and I went on Enchantment of the seas a couple weeks ago. We did the very Same thing! Grabbed our key and went into our cabin. But, I realized after putting some things away, NOT our cabin. When we grabbed our stuff and tried to get out quickly the true guests were outside the door! I apologized so many times! I wonder how many times that happens 😊

My husband and I discovered the solarium for breakfast on our last cruise. You can get just as much good food without the crowds. A definite plus!
