So grateful for the jelly roll pressing suggestion using the long ruler. I recently destroyed an entire jelly roll by sewing it together without pressing correctly. It turned out as one giant curvy piece of fabric... a complete disaster!

I agree that knowing how to measure for seam allowance on pinked edges. Don’t forget not all manufacturers measure from the same place. Just knowing where to lay your straight edged cuts is a relief that my blocks will fit together the way it should. The 2-1/2” is inside the strip. It’s either top to top, OR valley to valley. The jellyroll can use the top of the hill, or the bottom of the valley. It will be consistent for all strips so you can use the same “sight line” for sewing each strip.

I'm not much on using allot of different patterns most jelly rolls put together, but ... you know how to put them and the background together so that it no longer looks "cluttered". I would have never attempted to put all those together, until I watched this video. Love what you did with this and I love the pattern. Keep up the great work on your tutorials! This is one of your best tutorials yet! Love how you go slow with the instructions, but show EVERYTHING and the video isn't overly long. Although I could really just sit and watch you all day. You give so many great tips and details to make new quilters and those of us who just jumped into quilting with no real instruction be able to do a truly beautiful quilt each and every time. Even teaching us some color theory along the way. You are absolutely THE BEST teacher I have seen, on or off the internet! Thank you, thank you for all you and Matt do.
