I think what surprises me the most with these cheap coloring books is how well they stand up to your layers of art.

I've had trouble finding coloring books that withstand a lot of abuse, but one thing to look for is whether the book is white paper or off-white soft paper. The off-white soft paper is like newsprint, and really meant for a child to color with crayons and move on. The white, smooth paper will endure a good amount of abuse, even the cheaper ones. The off-white ones also yellow much faster and get stiff, just like old newspapers. Those burner books are good to trace, though!

I don’t think it’s that surprising because children sometimes just leave pens on pages or overly draw on them so they have to hold at least this much but yes it it impressive xD

3:32 I actually thought of a story behind this photo. Imagine a zombie apocalypse, where zombies are still conscious? Kinda like in “pride and prejudice and zombies”, but these ones are hungry for human brains and blood while still being clever enough to control their moves. Then imagine a survivor of such an apocalypse. His ex-girlfriend bothered him a lot early before the apocalypse began. Then, she got turned into a zombie, but still wanted revenge. One unfortunate day, our survivor stumbles upon this photo of his ex and her friends, with a signature like “we’re coming for you”. At the very same moment, out character knows he’s dead for sure. Imagine how creepy it would be, if it was a movie or something? Also, I think I like this drawing the most. Kind of lets you to think of a story yourself.
