@@dan84au From hearing Jordan Peterson speak about Canada, he has deep abiding love for his original home land. I believe his heart aches for all Canada's downfall. Socialism is the disease, Capitalism is the cure. It appears Pierre Poilievre is the man for the job. Not only in his ability to speak, but his resolve. He seems to be no dummy, and he can work the press, he doesn't allow them to mix him down, at least not face to face. From a woman's point of view, he seems a man's man, not wishy washy, weak minded, lacking courage, imo, what the world needs right now. Pierre is a savvy political strategist. He was on before after he orchestrated the coup against Erin O'fool, and kicked off the leadership race. Now that JP is with the DailyWire and has a even deeper connection to America, this is to help showcase himself to the American audience. Guaranteed at some point in 2025 he's going to have long sit down with Ben and Joe since both of them have essentially endorsed him, which is really a feat, since very few Americans (and by extension media personalities) pay attention to Canada, let alone Canadian politics/politicians.

Polievre is probably the first Prime Ministerial hopeful in my lifetime that I am interested in seeing have a chance. Most of my life, Canadian politicians have been faceless interchangeable bureaucrats who had only a nominal function to keep the country on a relatively boring but peaceful condition. Then Trudeau showed up, and everything started going to s***, and I no longer could afford the luxury of being apolitical or disinterested. I hope Polievre has a go, and I hope he does well. It's a massive course correction on a big ship and Trudeau and his associated cronies and sycophants have hedged up the way back to prosperity. I don't like that the NDP will likely act as an impediment if he ever gets into the seat, but we can't expect too much.

To put in perspective how extreme the issue was, housing starts were ONE FIFTH the number of new immigrants coming in.

Excellent interview. I’m an American who follows Canadian politics and already had an appreciation for Mr. Poilievre but he truly impressed me when he said “I didn’t know that” at least twice that I was aware of. It’s so rare to hear anyone in a position of power admit they don’t know something.

Excellent observation. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to get across to people how important it was when you would hear President Trump say “I didn’t know that.” or “I wasn’t aware of that.” Any time you hear a politician openly admit they don’t know something or weren’t aware of something instead of attempting to waffle their way through what they think projects superior knowledge, it makes it far more likely they are communicating with relative honesty. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

What Americans who don't closely follow Canadian politics realize, is that Poilievre is the latest in a line of failed CPC leaders whose main shtick is pandering to whatever is popular at the moment. The difference is that Poilievre actually has an ounce of charisma and seems like a saint compared to Trudeau, who has set the bar at being possibly *the* worst politician in modern history. But Poilievre is no anti-establishment populist like Trump. Not even close. The reality is that the "Conservative" party of Canada is much more similar to the Democrats in the US than anything else; their voting record and ties are aligned with globalist interests, mass immigration, and they fully support abortion up to birth, LGBTQ ideology, etc. Even at the height of his popularity, Poilievre has only made the slightest of concessions on these issues when it has become popular or safe enough to do so, thanks in part to some pressure from the actual right-wing party, the PPC, which he has been co-opting ideas from. ("Canada first," "common sense.") Make no mistake, it will be an improvement under Poilievre, but it will only be switching from trans-communism to gay-liberalism. It seems likely that Canada will have to go through what the UK did with a decade of a fake conservative government before people finally seek an alternative. So be it.

Construction, even though many people say it’s struggling, keeps me busy 72 hours a week, living the full-on 996 hustle, even though I’m Brazilian. Since I only have a work permit, I’m not sure if the government will let me stay here legally after 18 months (when my work permit expires). I really hope so. But if I have to leave because of a decision by the new government to improve this amazing country, where I’ve built everything I have today, it’s all good. Young Canadian male here. Pierre represents hope for us Canadians to reclaim our country. We could be the richest nation in the world, but we’ve been consistently governed by incompetence. I remember the Harper days when I was in my youth and early teens-crime was low, immigration was under control, and hate crimes were virtually unheard of. My parents worked hard, bought a nice condo, and life seemed promising for them. Then 2015 came, and my dad was laid off from his construction job as Trudeau shut down multiple sites without considering the consequences. BRING BACK CANADIAN PATRIOTISM AND COMMON SENSE! 🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦🍁

Same situation for me too. In 2005 under liberal leader Paul Martin I was a lower class individual. However, once Harper took office and Canada started resembling beautiful utopia, I started my own business, bought multiple homes and became a multi millionaire. Then 2015 came, Justin Trudeau took power, and everything has fallen apart... my businesses collapsed because of Trudeau and now I am, like almost everyone else in this country, on the verge of homelessness.

@@BASED.88 Everyone I know down in the States is hoping and praying Canada turns things around. I still have a lot of family and friends there and love to come visit. We don't see it conflicting with our loyalty, because we see the similarities of how all western nations developed and the values they share. These must continue. Most western nations are going through the same problems like mass immigration, censorship laws, bureaucracy and increased socialism. Sure, we recognize the smaller differences such as Parliamentary democracies vs Constitutional Republics, but those are minor compared to the overall similar framework. I've heard Republicans like Vivek talk about ending dual citizenship, which I can understand, and I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I like your optimism, but here's what always happens in Canada: The Liberals slowly erode the country until there is an outcry and they get booted out. The Conservatives come in but to survive, they cannot truly follow their convictions but rather placate progressives with mediocre policy implementation. That works for as long as people still remember how bad the last Liberal government was. Memory eventually fades and we start the cycle all over again. It won't take long before Leftist pinheads will believe that the "new" Liberal leader is what we need.
