Should we write to our politicians to get C-63 quashed? Jordan was spot on. He was completely right when he said that Jonah fleeing from his call to speak the truth publicly caused him to drift into a useless sleep where he was of no use to anyone. That part hit me hard. I had gotten quite comfortable but was being challenged to get much less comfortable. The result has been apathy, and circumstances that had never been an issue have started to pop up all over the place. Waiting and avoiding has made it worse. So I am resolved to move forward and stop avoiding my calling.

I can't say that I do this all the time, but I remember myself being in a position where I needed to speak the truth, when everyone around me (approx 80 people) were too intimidated to talk. Thankfully, I was able to shut down my fears and just say the words which so desperately needed to be said. My words of truth cut like a razor, exposing and aggravating a festering wound. This moment was terribly uncomfortable, but once the shock and angry response was over, the painful situation was soon replaced by a form of peace and beauty. In the end, everyone benefited from my efforts, and I thanked God for giving me the courage to step forward blindly, trusting that he would guard my path.
