This is the second podcast I've watched with Dr. Peterson. What I enjoy most is seeing how genuinely interested Dr. Peterson is sharing experiences with his guests. As spectators and young people, take the time to really listen to the conversation. These behaviors and experiences are something we all can relate to. It's infectious watching how the conversation moves and evolves into the cause and effect of how we think and perceive as we relate to outside stimuli. Kudos to Dr. Peterson and his guests for providing real insight in bettering oneself.
@lailikrumm9 ай бұрын
Just thought about this myself: doing a podcast does come naturally to a person who has psychology degree and experience in a field where seeing patterns and listening are big part of career and patient success. Curiosity is a very necessary trait and passion for knowledge ofcourse as well. This makes the questions deeper and creates space where the guest can open up more. Stories that he himself shares have depth as well because of his personal experience and those of people he has treated.

By sport I assume you mean body building? Why should bodybuilding growing be celebrated?
@antonhallergren58828 күн бұрын
@@kimjong-un8543 because 95% of ppl who love bodybuilding just train and eat better which makes them healthier. Why? 95% of people will never be geared up competetive bodybuilders because of genetics, their life situation, work ethic, time and so on. But they can follow the sport and parttake in it just like everyone. Sure the results aren't the same but they won't be in anything. Biggest difference is it is a lot easier to be a bodybuilding fan and bodybuild for yourself than it is to be a football fan and play football casually just due to sheer logistics of needing a bunch of ppl at once. Ppl need to do more phyical exercise and bodybuilding is a great way to both enjoy a sport and parttake in it on any level.
@kimjong-un854328 күн бұрын
@@antonhallergren588 I think recreational body building absolutely can be healthy and great. Overall people definitely need more physical activity nowadays. But I feel like doing it through bodybuilding (esp if you start because of someone like cbum) youll be far more likely to develop things like body image issues. I think thats a bit besides the point though, because you said growing the sport, not just simply going to the gym, and I don't think the sport of bodybuilding is particularly healthy, even at the lower levels, im sure you agree with this point, but im looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

That's so true about being honest, especially when doing public speaking. A lot of people put on an 'act' when they speak publicly, but what I find, being a teacher, I just be honest. If something goes wrong or something unexpected arises, I let my students or whoever I'm speaking to publicly know about it and how it has affected whatever it is I'm speaking about or doing. Additionally, I always let my students know that I am human and if I do make a mistake, I encourage them to tell me about it as long as they are respectful.
