I tried playing guitar when I was a kid in the 60's. I had a fender acoustic and played on stage a few times when I was like 12 or so in grammar school for school pageants and stuff like that and took lessons. I had little ability and no ear and I knew I could never play like the best. I tried the best I could but it was above me and I had to give it up as I didn't want to waste any more of my dad's money on more lessons. If you like playing and can play then keep playing for your soul.
