I'm a dinosaur from the 1970s who'd been despairing about the modern music scene, but have stumbled across this brilliance. Can't wait to chase up all the names (Buckethead, Eddie Hazel, Lili Haydin). If there are others of this talent please point me in the right direction and make my 2023.

Check out Eddie Jobson in UK and David Cross in King Crimson. Prog, not metal. Then there is Jerry Goodman in the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Fusion. And Allen Sloan and Mark O'Connor in The Dixie Dregs.

WOOOO! Maggot Brain is considered by many to be one of the greatest solos every written on any instrument. 🤘 Eddie Hazel was a hell of a guitar player. And Bernie, on keys in this song, played on Maggot Brain, also. Yep. Hes PFunk for eternity.

Nice to see that the some of the greatest rock songs are appreciated even today. I remember this song back in the 1970's. Unbelievably powerful by the Funkadelics. Great Album. Nice to see a cover that does the original justice. It takes one on a musical journey. Love this.

This rips! Back when Bonnaroo was at its best. I was at the show but I have to admit I didn’t know Maggot Brain at the time. I was a P-funk fan but mostly knew their more popular funk tunes. I heard someone else play the song live so I bought the Maggot Brain CD a while ago and was blown away by the song and the fact that I didn’t know more about it. It’s stunning and this is a great cover.
